Tip Put some sealant under the door trim, in case you spill water on floor, it will stop it getting to the boards below

Yeaaa 😀 another van build! Great to see all is secure, nice professional job Dean 👍. Great job of glueing down the Lino. I really appreciate the time it takes Will to build, film, edit & produce these videos. You do a great job. 👍 from Wales 🏴. 😀😀
I can suggest you one thing You can upload the video of u starting and fully completing the van converstition. I think that will help you grow also❤❤ Any ways love from nepal and dont forget me mate❤❤❤
You don't have to remove the windows just remove the beading and paint the steel then put the beading back on.

@@WillsWhereabouts While you're at it drill some small holes on the inside of the doors and spray some cavity wax inside the doors. Cavity wax is exactly what it sounds like. Its a spray wax that comes in a can with a long thin flexible tube that you can steer around in side the cavity. Once its waxed it will prevent rust from the inside out. You can also get the underside of the van coated and hey presto no rust for about 5 years.
Hi Will. You don’t need to use an angle grinder to cut aluminium has it’s a soft metal. You can a normal electric wood saw to cut aluminium has the saw blade is made of steal. Please keep the videos coming 🤘
“Bollocks I’ve drilled through the table” classic quote well done Will 👍🏻
Will, thanks for filming this - appreciate for the hassle that you've got to go through. This is a good pace to be honest!
That floor looks the Dogs danglers Will. I will never have a Converted Van but i would love to have one and watching your Van build is the next best thing. All the best.
Great job Will some really important jobs done and out the way. Glad to see I'm not the only one that takes five minutes trying to open a Workmate 💪 Dean did a quality job on the locks 👍

Hah you’re defiantly not alone Graham!
These locks are more of a necessity than a luxury. They should come fitted as standard.
its good to see how your confidence is growing using the tools etc. love the videos you make me smile especially the lovely freshly stained panelling the the bird visited.
Love these videos Will. We did exactly the same as you, watched Lou and Em get their security locks and ordered the same for ours straight away. We also got security film put on the front, driver and side doors which as you say will not stop people breaking in but it will slow them down a lot. These stop the windows from breaking straight away and keeps all the glass pieces intact on the film. Not as costly as the locks either. Van is coming together. Take care and stay safe, see you in the next one xx

Hey, I would advise caution against the film. It does a great job stopping scroats breaking in but it will also slow the like of me breaking in to get you out in the event of an accident.
Hi Will, cladding looks great. Don't think it even needs a stain. Deadlocks are a great idea. You're starting to look more like a traveler and less like a builder. I wouldn't take the windows out. I think it will take a long time to rust and the bonding around the window should keep the moisture out. No moisture...no rust. All security is good security. Prevention is better than cure. You were like Spiderman putting that floor adhesive down. 🤣🤣🤣 Cracking job mate. Well done. That's a lovely big workshop you've got to work in. It's coming together mate.

Thanks very much guys! It’s beginning to take shape
I want to say thank you for the videos. I was inspired to finish a build I delayed for two years. After I saw you get your new van, I spent my two weeks off work to get it completed. It's an Iveco Daily long wheel from 2017. It had 35K on the clock and was used by an artist for transferring his paintings. I may have overdone it with the solar panels. Around 1kw and four batteries. If you're wondering, I have a gaming PC in it. I was inspired by another KZread person on that one. I added a split charge relay which is a game changer. I no longer worry when the English weather does what it does best. I look forward to the day the van is done and you're off travelling. Cheers.

When I converted my Transit Connect I was very careful to apply spray primer every time I made a hole in the shell so it wouldn't rust. Unfortunately it was a transit so while none of my work rusted, the door sills rotted away anyway.
Floor looks great and that trim finishes it all off nicely. No lose fingers floating about on the vinyl is a bonus
Any tool can be intimidating first time, wear gloves, go slow, start small, you’ll be a pro before you know it. Good job man, looking crisp 👍

I can't help thinking Mr. Bean and the padlock he put on his car door. The ceiling and floor give a good plank motif. I assume the walls will also be of a similar wood cladding consist? It'll give the place a snug, 'wood cabin', feel to it. Be great in winter!
Hi Will, I was lucky with my flooring, I brought some black vinyl soundproofing, it had a really sticky back on it, I put in on my ceiling as well, it has made it so much warmer in there, your van is looking good and getting there, loving your van build, we are all learning at the same time. Thank you and have fun, the quicker it’s done the more fun you can have. The trouble is things take time, and money is a must, well done Will, waiting for your next instalment, xxxx

Bit by bit your Van starts too look better and better !!!
I read that as dreadlocks, was thinking wtf, hahaha but another amazing video, you absolutly floored me :0)
Will ! Hello its me the locksmith, done your keys yesterday. Just a thought.. Be a good idea to put longer euros cylinders in each lock so you can lock and unlock from inside the van, That's what I done to mine Jack.
Glad you kept all your fingers. Love the vids keep up the great work.
Amazing! Great result, I did chuckle when you got the grinder out for that aluminium side piece! 😂😂 your fear of the power tools is funny 👍👌
Ah yes, its Will and power tools, great stuff lol!! Good to see the van coming along well mate, good job :)
Looking good and had a teacher at school that used to say anyone that has never made a mistake has never made anything , its the way we learn .also saw a clip on you tube that thieves are using the diagnosis port on vehicle's to override alarm systems etc so might be a good idea to get that securely enclosed aswell
Great series! Your van is coming along really nicely. 💪
Don’t worry your doing a fantastic job. Really like watching the struggles.
Hi Will , excellent work mate ,glad your getting work done on the van and as you've said before it'll take time to get everything right and pick up different things along the way and I'm sure it'll be awesome when your done ,good luck pal 👍 🚐🚐👌
The windows as essentially glued to the outside of the van over the holes you cut for them , you should be able to access the cut edges from inside the van still , no need to take them out .
Awesome job, floor and ceiling look amazing!

Body paint is what you should have put on the holes you drilled for your ladder, Will.
I love the build videos, Will! Thnak you for doing them. I'm learning a lot and dream of doing my own build if i can ever afford it. Cheers from Denmark!
If you told in the beginning you are into stealth camping i was wondering that you make Windows into the sides. Why dont you darken the window and make a reflecting outside so noone can kill your secure and Privacy? Why dont you leave the middlewall to the driver in ? It would serve secure and Privacy 😋 Do it like tne pacel Service with a slidedoor
I don't know how easy it is get money from used ikea furniture, but perhaps there is market for those as well. :-) Windows: I think - and I think other people said so in the comments - that the sliding side windows should have trim piece instead of that flexble black trim you squeezed in the edge of the sheet metal. (without rust proofing, mind you!) Opportunity to redo it better.
Floor looks great!
Excellent video and the flooring is stunning and the window part wheee you need to rust treat it without taking them out
Will. Loving it dude keep it up. Now. Grinders. The disc should sit on a ring on the grinder that centres it. Then it won’t terrify you wobbling. There’s a few sizes so you need to get the right one for your grinder. But you’re right a saw is better for just a small aluminium cut. It’s fairly soft. You had a coping saw which is meant for cutting shapes. You can ‘steer’ the cut. A plain hacksaw has a deeper blade so cuts a straighter cut. No probs though it wasn’t critical for this job.

Will, I love to watch your van videos. Especially the build videos. Good comedy material. You can't fake this. ;) BTW, that's not a hack saw. It's a coping saw. It's a saw designed to allow you to cut curves and such.
Great video will van looking so good now your getting there will it
3M has a window film that holds shattered glass together making breaks in more difficult.. Its not specifically designed for vehicles but does the job.. the vans looking good
Always love your videos, Will.
Coming along nicely👍😊
15:35 It's a grinder with a cutting wheel. You can certainly use it to cut your aluminum angle but a portaband would probably be better. A portaband is what we use in the trades here in the US. Of course your hacksaw works, it just takes longer. I see you like to build stuff. When possible invest in a portaband. It's a must have tool in your tool arsenal.

Should add internal and external plates for each of the deadlocks To prevent drilling.
“This stuff is sticky” 😂 mate your a ledge 👍🏻
Looking awesome will well done! I didn't rust treat some windows I've put in but some I have. I would just leave it its a big job to take it out again but just hamerite things in the future.👍
Van coming along nicely good job
Looks great, great work well done mate
Well done Will.
Will if you do use an angle grinder please use a face shield as well as goggles, if a disc was to shatter you could end up like (Leeds Boiler Company - iPlumb - Michael Goodall accident with angle grinder 2019 (look it up on YT, didn't add a link because sometimes people don't click links), we'd all hate that handsome face of yours to be mangled. Nothing to do with vans but around 20yrs ago where I live now we had a Ford Sierra, my hubby had gone to bed early so I went to check on the car and it had gone, I ran outside barefoot in my pj's only to see it on the corner of the road with 4 youths in it 3 scarpered and one remained behind the wheel, I ran at the car with the intention of kicking the door closed on his legs to break them, he jumped out and threatened me with a screwdriver, so I screamed at him " you think you're f'ing big enough try me" he ran off, so if you need a bouncer to look after your van I'm your woman 😁👍.

Good call on that angle grinder. Aluminum is like toffee, sticky shit. It requires own cutting disks, you can burn out the grinder with disks intended for steel. (Not with that flimsy strip, but with bigger jobs) Turn the nut around and check that the disk seats properly.
Love it.
Proper job mate 👍🏼
Loving this video series wish I would of found you sooner dead locks definitely a good idea do you have a steering lock
Really great
Good video mate Andrew
Lookin good Will
Fantastic progress Will 👍💙❤️
Hey Will, you said at the end that you lose motivation to work on the van when you film it because you can’t listen to music and stuff, but you could. You could have your music playing while you’re working, remove the audio from the footage and add your own sound design along with a music track to do it in montage form, you could also do voiceovers or something. Maybe record some audio clips of cutting and screwing etc and you can then use them over and over in your audio tracks. If you want to do a few clips where it’s just you working in silence then you’ll only need to do it for those clips rather than a lot of the video. Love the videos, might add some deadlocks to my van.
NEED MORE VIDEOS ASAP WILLY BOY
Hey will my man the van is looking more ready for the hot tub now you have a smooth surface for it to sit on😂😂 hope your well my friend xx
