My 23 yr old daughter and I do my hair. I put in extensions then take them out I have a sensitive scalp but not ready to commit to natural dread loc yet. Yours are beautiful thank u for sharing

I just wanted to say you struck a beautiful nerve with me. I've decided to start making dreads I don't know if I'm going to be able to do it or not using a different material in different ways. One of the things I thought of is like you said like a circle of women a sort of sisterhood like a directory to have these circles on my website. I just wanted to say thank you.

I am so doing that too! I love Liz's hair and I feel you and I have similarities with our hair and that added loose hair will give just the" Umpf" I'm looking for,plus it will look like I have highlights which I miss before I had locks. Thanks for the idea ,so excited to try:))))

I want to do this, I have a couple of reservations though. I already have synths added in to try and bulk it out, but I suffered chronic post partum hair loss six and a half years ago and my scalp seems a lot thinner nowadays. But I want the bulk so it looks like I have lots of hair

What size crochet hook you use for dreads?

I have major insecurities regarding my "halo" - it's horrendous and because my hair is dark, the loose hair is hugely noticeable, I spray it daily with one of your essential oil recipes but nothing has changed. I could spend hours crocheting and it just looks messy again two days later. I have hair the same length as Liz and I don't have time or energy to crochet every single night

No and you really shouldn’t. You can over do it! Do you use the hook?! Maybe that could help a bit but I really do feel like we have to embrace some… we ALL have it. Try some pure aloe tho as gel if you have somewhere awesome to go and want to let “kept”.

You’re not supposed to over crochet! It will settle once it’s matured but it will also have some fluff, that’s just the reality of dreads ❤

How old are your locks here?
