Looked at this same unit for my 96 2dr but ultimately installed the Kenwood DMX809s using the Metra double din kit. Actually came out really well.

I'm pretty sure the 99-02 NBS steering wheel will fit. I know the wheel they put in the 99 OBS trucks looked similar to it. They did make a version of the wheel with steering wheel controls, but I only ever seen them in S-10 blazers.

For the steering wheel controls you can get the steering wheel from the 99-00 Escalade

I bought a used single din pop out touchscreen stereo unit from Jensen. It has auto reverse camera, Bluetooth, radio and calls. It cool cus I can push the button for the screen to go inside the unit and when I reverse, it triggers the screen to come out and display the camera. I can't watch KZread or Hulu or anything like that. But I might be able to mirror the screen from my phone. I need to bypass the park brake to watch movies on it.

Found out for myself. Proper dash kit is Scosche GM1504B in case anyone else wants to install a similar head unit in a 95+ gmt400
