    Yeah I agree. I think either keep the stock brushed system and just enjoy it as it is because it is a lot of fun brushed as long as you don't care about going top speed. Or get a Max 10 combo and just run on 3s. 4S is ridiculous.

    It’s tough choice to make, it’s kinda expensive , glad i saw your video, i think Iam going to pass on this truck for now. For the price it should have definitely been brushless, if the shocks can be adjusted, i would drop it slightly and maybe change the fluid in shocks , looks like you can. Awesome video bro😉👍🏼💯 (just my 2cents) nice looking truck overall, i love TA all day

    I don't think so. I believe the brushed motor has a 1/8 in output shaft and the brushless motor has a 5 mm output shaft. It has been a while since I did this though so I'm not 100% certain on that.

    I think if you would’ve just change the pinion gear and tires you may have got a decently quick speed with the stock system. And I know if you change both of those things with that brushless combo you’re going to see insane speeds

  • @DoRC

    @DoRC

    2 жыл бұрын

    Yeah it definitely could go faster on the stock system. Honestly I'm not sure you really needed to though. For what it is the stock system works pretty well. This is a small car and it's not really made for big spaces I don't think.

  • @SuperNikonlover

    The battery was not pretty that's why I didn't show it :-) All I had was something that was way too large. It turned out that the truck had spit out of front drive shaft and I hadn't noticed so all of that was in rear wheel drive. I'm sure it would have handled a lot better in four-wheel drive:) Thanks for watching and if you enjoy my videos a sub to my channel is appreciated!

    you just need better tires and maybe stiffer suspension. I have a 4Tec with a hobywing max8sct and 4300kv 550 on 3s. the only thing that makes it uncontrollable is the fact that it wants to take flight on me. Tires only last about one or two batteries though.

  • @DoRC

    @DoRC

    Motor is rated for 3s but can handle 4s no problem. I've been running 4s on the 3200 KV motors for a long time. The differentials do have oil in them but it's only 5k. Honestly the biggest problem was that I spit out that drive shaft at some point and was doing at least half of that testing with two wheel drive. I need to get a replacement shaft and then I may post an update video trying again. Hey would you be up thanks for watching :-)

    @@DoRC it’s an older Cen CT4S. For some reason it’s always been a monster of a car. I know what it’s like to run in 2wd. First time I had it out I smacked a curb and lost a front axle lol. Destroyed the tires in minutes after that. When I finally had it back together it was insane.

    They missed the mark. That RC should have been epic. They went with a touring car scale. Imagine 1/10 short course or 1/8 Kaiju size. I was thinking that they were going after HPI Magnum flux "Infraction" truck at first. Unfortunately they went after the 4tec.

    For top speed I agree but for its size just bashing around it really isn't too bad. It's got enough power to drift and do donuts and stuff like that. That being said I do agree that people will expect brushless for that kind of money and I don't think it would have cost the manufacturer that much more

    That road too rough for those wheels start down the road so you braking near yourself keep it straight in neutral let it free roll till you turn the brakes down if you can't touch it even during a free roll 😉

    Thanks for the tips! I am definitely not adept at on road stuff. That being said I think most of my trouble was being caused by the truck being two-wheel drive after the front drive shaft came out. I didn't realize it until after I bought it back in and looked at it. I may try for a redemption video once I get a replacement shaft.
