When I did campus network design, I specified a 1 inch hole in the box bottom. A box rep once told me the potential problem with a closed bottom box is that near a road the water can become hazmat due to road oil runoff. I used to specify open bottom over gravel, but contractors would skip the gravel and I'd get a box full of sand here in Florida.

See that all the time here in central Florida. Dig down 12 inch and water starts filling the hole.

was thinking, you should see if the company will spring for something like a Milwaukee Stick Transfer Pump to keep on your truck! It would have made quick work of that. Great video too!

Do you have gravel placed below the pit? I always get about half a foot of gravel dropped into the bottom of the hole before we place the pit which seems to help with the water. Also i put about half a foot of gravel into the bottom of the pit to catch gunk before it blocks the drainage holes.

We sometimes do this, but this particular one needs it like with no rain it has an unground aquifer or something.

you should get some safety cones or a used nynex/verizon cube van - splice in comfort and safety plus consider tax strategy - it would probably be a writeoff #tools #obtainable chinesium
