It's funny how almost all of the comments here are from teenage girls who are either auditioning for the role of Grandmama or have just been cast as her. It's baffling to me that so many are somehow still confused about how to play the role when they're literally commenting on a video that spells it out for them; the original production really could not have cast this role better than this. Jackie Hoffman (the Grandmama above) took the most unfairly overlooked member of the Addams Family and stole the show as no one had before her. So my advice for any actresses playing the role in their high school or community theatre productions: Look no further. Search JACKIE HOFFMAN ADDAMS here on KZread and use her as inspiration. Otherwise, seek out the other actresses from before her: BLOSSOM ROCK from the 1960's TV show and from the 1991and 1993 movies, JUDITH MALINA and CAROL KANE. Take your favorite bits and pieces from each of them and you'll have a better idea of who your version of Grandmama needs to be.
