the problem with them being corlys' supposed children is that velaryons aren't the blood of the dragon. laenor being gay isn't a problem in the book as far as fathering bastards. he could have been persuaded as a teen to try and sleep with a female s3x worker. but the problem with the show timeline is that laenor is too young to have fathered them. so if the show makes them corlys' bastards, this is a significant lore change because in the books, the targaryens are the only bloodline left who are bonded with the dragons.

This is a GREAT point. I wish I put something like this in my video. You're right, by aging up Addam and Alyn they basically make them the Sea Snakes and therefore no rhaeyns blood is in them. I wonder if corlys has an ancestor with the blood of the dragon.

I looked back and Corlys great, great, great, great (and maybe one more great) grandmother was a Targaryen. It's a weak link but technically he has a tiny bit of "blood of the dragon"

Bro the fact that Targaryens control dragons is an illusion this has been stated many times, there is literally little differences between Velaryons and Targaryens they are both families from Valyria, both have the potential to ride dragons, a normal person can ride a dragon it’s just that the Targaryens use the dragons to display their superiority and power which is why no other people have tried to ride them everyone is under the assumption you need to be Targaryen which isn’t true.

Lots of discussion around this. Corly ancestors were from Valyria and he does have a little bit of Targaryen blood in him. but it seems like the show aged up Addam and Alyn so it seems like they might not be able to be Laenors kids... I think it might be one of those things the show didn't give too much thought around.

@@ClarkeeKatYou don’t have to be a Targaryen to ride a dragon. You have, to have the blood of old Valyria. Which, the Velaryon family has, even though p, they themselves weren’t dragon riders. A lot of people are confused by this. The Targaryens weren’t the only dragon rider family of old Valyria. They just survived the doom, more or less, intact. Who is to say the other dragon rider families, that died in the doom. Didn’t have illegitimate off spring spread across other places?

​@@coricori7661 None of the history of Velaryon ever had dragons even before the doom. Velaryon cannot have dragon even though theyre old valyria. Corlys cannot ride dragon cz hes not a targaryen, but Leanor can because of Rhaenys' blood.

@@rss3535 Just because the Velaryons didn't have dragons doesn't mean they can't ride dragons. The Targaryens were the only surviving family from Old Valyria that owned dragons, but anyone descended from Old Valyria can ride or claim a dragon.

Alyn is not a dragonseed.
