Using fan not make stable on injection result. After I made water cooling channel on mini mold. The result more stable. And the machine could run more than 2 hours non stop until all material run out.

What a great job and well made to. If you are having trouble with your 3D printed pully on the plasizier screw try loctite super retaining compound as an insulator between the two good for a 10 to 20C temp drop on your pully

really nice design. How does the stepper motor work in relation to clamping the mould, does it stall when the mould clamps? or is it programmed to stop at a set point, or is there a pressure sensor in there somewhere?

Hi, I see that oil extraction screws are almost ideal for these types of machines. they are compression screws, a bit small and for 50usd on ali express they also have the barrel.

Yes, I used the screw that the model like oil extractor but only 12mm diameter. If you want to use oil extractor's screw, you need bigger motor torque.

go closed loop using a PC water cooling rad, fairly inexpensive. you'll have a consistent and predictable temperature forever.

sorry,it seems your clamping unit needs to update or improve anyway,because the screw will consume along the machine running,so the clamping position will change anyway,but for your machien appearance,its clamping position seems to be fixed,so it had better design a clamping system to adapting the clamping position along with the long terms machine running,also achieve the stepper highest efficiency or torque...

Hi, Here is a update on my version. closeup vid of the injection compression screw. I used a oil extraction screw and barrel. I used 1 inch NPT stainless fittingss, turned on the lathe to close the oil port, and make thicker to fit a 35mm heater band. Still unsure If I will use additional cartridge heater and heater block at the end to add in more heat. Not too bad, you need to remember that the injection mould is a heat pump, heat in equals heat out. Suggest adding insulator plates between mould and platens.. Install thermocouple to switch cooling on/off. Good luck
