Just yesterday I had a client ask for a change on a image from my shoot and I had to research how to do this. I wish I had seen your example first. Very clear and precise instructions. I had to change the dollar amount on a transaction machine screen we photographed for a credit card company that had partnered with Apple. The screen on the device was tilted so I knew had to match the angle of the screen so the new type would not stand out. I didn't want to send out to my retoucher because it would have taken a few days to get back. I was so happy that I could accomplish this tiny, little change yesterday and quickly. I'll subscribe to your channel.

You should right click on the thumbnail of the layer, not the layer

Not exactly any surface. That's just one kind of sruface. What about uneven surfaces, for example.
