Add Microsoft 365 Apps to Windows devices with Microsoft Intune
Before you can assign, monitor, configure, or protect apps, you must add them to Intune. One of the available app types is Microsoft 365 apps for Windows 10 devices. By selecting this app type in Intune, you can assign and install Microsoft 365 apps to devices you manage that run Windows 10. You can also assign and install apps for the Microsoft Project Online desktop client and Microsoft Visio Online Plan 2, if you own licenses for them.

I am not sure why you are specifying the device name specifically in the Dynamic Groups? I did not follow that part? Why would you do that. If you specify a Group and add the devices to that Group then you should be able to actually use the Device Group to install the Office Apps, but you are creating a Dynamic Group and adding a specific device and adding that to the Group. I am kind of confused. Can you explain that in detail please. I would like to understand is that the best way to do it?
Thanks for the insight. Have a question, if the option "featured app" is not selected(set to NO) and the administrator selects the assignment option as "available for enrolled devices" - would that mean application would still be available at company portal and user has to install it manually ? If yes, then featured app option has no value in this case.

If you set this option to yes, the app will be shown on the home page of company portal as featured app. If u set this option no, then you need to find that app by clicking Apps option in company portal. I hope this answers your query.
