I never realized how easy it is to brighten up a room without a hassle until I watched this video. The renter-friendly suggestions made a huge difference in a home's ambiance.
I clued into LED rechargables pretty much as soon as they were available...LOVE them! And yes, I did know they have flickering taper candles (got some, of course). Also had to have lots of different LED pillar candles (including some that are multicolor/remote control). And I just got rid of an old stick-up fluorescent light I had over the kitchen sink and replaced it with a really thin, sleek LED strip that is bright enough (and has 3 color choices) to light up the whole sink. And also added some undercabinet ones. Since they are all rechargeable and magnet mounted, I just grab them when they dim, plug them into my computer hub, and soon they are good to go. My most recent find is a crystal pillar candle type light that has a remote for multicolor plus 3 different white shades. Beautiful and can also be turned on with a touch. I guess you can tell I really love all those rechargeable LED's!
I was so excited to find this video! I have just started looking at wireless sconces but thought I was limited to ones that came wireless. You offer such great solutions to make any sconce wireless! My home was a spec home, so the outlets are spaced in odd places to meet minimal building codes. I can use so many of these tips. Thank you for putting together such a wonderful resource!
Exactly what I was wrecking my brain for! I am searching for non-plugged wall sconces and a chandelier, will definitely use your ideas❤️, thank you Julie, you’re the best🙂👏

GREAT information! Been waiting for this video...but Julie there is one other important use for these lights..POWER FAILURES! When Harvey and ice storm hit Texas my neighbors had no lighting. I had the recharge bulbs and flameless candles and handed out to help. I also have a car battery charger that has ports so I could charge the lights and cell phone. We had no power for 4 days and these along with gas barbecue with burner really helped everyone. All my neighbors ordered and I gave bulbs and candles as gifts at Christmas.

Hi Leslie, you can use these rechargeable bulbs with any fixture type- whether it’s a table lamp, floor lamp or even ceiling/wall light. The bulbs don’t require any plugs/ outlets to operate
Thanks Julie! Great tips. I am looking to repurpose some wall speaker wiring for low voltage light fixture. It should be doable.. however the wires are a bit high up on the wall (I got 10ft ceiling, the wires are probably at 8ft from floor). Will the sconces look too high on the wall and unaesthetic?
@JulieKhuu

The sweet spot for wall sconce installation is between 62-65” on center. 96” feels too high for sure, but if there’s already electrical in that wall, pulling it down shouldn’t be an issue at all

This is slightly off topic for this post but I wanted to find the most recent lighting video . I'm shopping for new flush mount fixtures for a main hallway . Trying to avoid " b o o b " lights . Are those strictly the round contractor grade fixtures or is anything w/ a centered finial on the globe considered a b o o b light ? I'm looking for 2 fixtures for the space preferably w/ 2 light sockets each .- I often find things I like but wondered if all circular fixtures w/ a center finial are boob lights or do I just need to avoid the champagne glass shape for the shade ? I hope this question makes sense and hope you or one of your assistants might clarify more specifically about this . Thank you so much for all your informative videos.
