Add Drainpipes to Wargaming Terrain in Minutes

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this weeks wargaming terrain tutorial I add some really easy, but really effective drainpipes to some existing wargaming terrain buildings I've made in the past videos. This tutorial covers from start to finish the process to make these using, lollipop sticks, toothpicks, and some wire to assemble and attach to your buildings. I found these to be a perfect way to add more details and enhance wargaming terrain that can be added later on in builds. These take only a few minutes to build and paint, and are a perfect addition.

    Thanks everyone for watching, the drainpipes in this video were added to my large ruined building kzread.info/dash/bejne/i3Zsw5dvhN3OdLw.html and the small ruined building kzread.info/dash/bejne/aoWb0Y-kfZu3Xag.html I filmed a recently. It's very easy to add these to existing builds once completed, and I highly recommend trying this out if you're after some additional details on your builds.

    It may be a small detail but this'll really add that extra level

    Really nice work, have to try it on my ruins. And thanks for the good tip with the lollipop sticks. I only had straws in my head but always thought they are much to big to be in skale. Thx

    Another great build! Brilliant use of cheap materials to create an outstanding detail! I would have never thought to use lollipop sticks, so thanks very much for sharing. Straws never looked quite right to me (and the bendable kind are tough to disguise), but your lollipop sticks-and-wire really fit nicely in scale. I'm looking forward to giving this a try! Can't wait to see what you make next - all the details you incorporate into your builds are so creative and take these projects to the next level!

    Straws should work fine for this build. They're a little larger, but at least you shouldn't need to join so many together. I'm sure it will still look great mate. Good luck.

    Really nice work. Simple but effective. If you want to make a little drain for where the gutter flows to then using the ridged section of a cable tie works well in a pinch. I've got a terrain build video coming soon too on how to make another functional building. Looking forward to your next vid

    Do you think you could make other pipes out of those lollipop stick by heating them?

  • @RFDHobby

    @RFDHobby

    3 жыл бұрын

    It's very possible, but controlling the application of heat to get a neat bend might be tricky. It's worth having a play around with though. Thanks for the comment.
