ADCC Desperation is showing signs. Also imagining and creating superfights where there shouldn't be is bad for the sport. ADCC looks more like Gordon's playground than a legitimate respected institution this way. I guess we can say the ADCC has become the b-team of the grappling tournaments.

I love how much all of this has exposed. Adcc has the cash to beg athletes to stay, there’s some weird new wave ownership going on, and it only takes weeks for another event to completely make it irrelevant af 😂

No disrespect to Gordon but he beats everyone so handily that he is no longer a draw for the hardcore fan in my opinion. What Craig Jones is doing with CJI is the most exciting thing to happen to JJ in years. Not saying ADCC are the bad guys. Hopefully CJI works out for them financially and they can continue.

A match with Pena does not warrant another medal. ADCC is throwing credibility out the window. This is actually unfair to Galvao.

IMO this is just a last ditch effort for ADCC- to be even somewhat close to the new CJI tournament that Mr Craig Jones is taking the Jiu Jitsu world by storm. I think the only way ADCC- becomes even close to CJI in terms of being fair to fighters, is if they raise the payouts. Craig Jones has literally flipped the script with his new tournament and IMO is the best tournament for high level grapplers. I think that CJI is now the Pinnacle of Jiu Jitsu rather than ADCC

One cost no one talks about is the opens. Those can’t be cheap to have. Essentially building the infrastructure to discover the best of the best consistently That being said I totally agree with the principles of competitor pay and more competition in general

Are you talking about the adcc opens? Those are run similar to the the ibjjf opens and most likely generate tons of money for adcc. There are more than 100 dollar for registration and usually have around a 1000 competitors. If anything it should help fund price pools

I figured it must cost a lot to organize them worldwide, pay for the venue etc. Ultimately the point was they’re doing the work to help identify new upcoming talent and cji is capitalizing on that. I do 100% agree with Craig’s stance on athlete pay and other points though. This is the best people on the planet and their pay and benefits should be treated according lying

CJI in a single year has trumped everything that ADCC has ever done. Gordon is on the wrong side of history and he’s such an unlikable human being.

Gordon is the biggest draw in the sport. Adding a SuperFight on Saturday will draw more viewership away from CJI.

It’s like the UFC making this stupid BMF belt Just diminishes the real belts. It’s literally like White men can’t jump. The UFC is rewarding exciting losses over skill and smart calculated grinding out type wins. The performance bonuses should honestly be illegal. It totally can influence how a fighter fights. There shouldn’t be an outside financial influence that dictates how the fighter fights. It can make a wrestler not wrestle. That is completely influencing the fight.

Dudes a heavyweight which is the least technical division due to body limitations ( physicality rules This division) and rarest body type. Even if Gordon is insanely technical his opponents often aren’t, so we don’t see his technical side tested with optimal defence Unless your a huge dude Watch the lighter Guys if you wanna learn the most
