This is the problem with inclusiveness. There is no way thos guy can actually get a black belt. He cant do the techniques, and nobody has the balls to tell him that he cant cause he or she will be labelled as the villain. Anybody that has a legitimate black belt knows those grading are hard and tough and it is an insult to those guys that actually practised and put the blood sweat and tears and went througg the proper channels to achieve it. That was given to him out of pity. Its called karate not flopping around like a fish

If you are suggesting a 3rd degree BB in Karate is equal to the amount of time I've invested in actual full contact martial arts, I'd kindly refer you to this exact video we're posting in. Because if you were being honest, you'd know fully well that when it comes to actual fighting, this person isn't ever coming close to participating in either BJJ nor Muay Thai despite being a black belt in your "sport". But there's nothing wrong people doing these dance routines because it's simply part of what Karate is. I'm sure that you are able to dance at a much higher level than most, and I have to respect that. Props to you and the gentleman in this video for reaching the black belt levels in your art. These meatheads can talk smack all they want. Through my experience with my daughter getting her black belt through Taekwondo, as long as you keep the money flowing you'll get your black belt.. The excitement and competition was great, but it was crazy expensive. When it was all said and done and she got her strap, I wasn't truly impressed with with at least 95% of the *hundreds* of competitors! Being a democracy in my household, I was outvoted on it being jiu jitsu. The grasshoppers here now understand the errors of their ways.. Regardless, their are still some bad mofos in all arts..

@@Catgat37 Black belts in America mean everything. Unless you mean a black belt at a local store to hold your pants up then yes your right, it means nothing. A black belt in many styles takes years to obtain. In styles like BJJ it can be 5-6 years to sometimes as long as 10 years. In other styles depending on your level of commitment it can be 3-5 years. Other styles like Judo I believe, a black belt is only obtained when you have won enough matches and tournaments. Black belts are not easy to get because I believe a recent study showed that only 3-5% actually get them. More then half to 3 quarters drop out before making black. And about 25% only stay in martial arts for over a year. It takes years of dedication, endless amounts of muscle memory training and countless hours. Don't hate on those who have something you don't have. That's just pure ignorance.

@@seancarter3626 A black belt is not a true representation of one's fighting ability in an Americanized dojo....no matter how long it took you to obtain it. I have studied under many senseis in my 30 years of practicing the martial arts. And I have met many black belts. This person was given a belt despite his inability to fight. I understand that this person is "special" and some jackass of a sensei gave him the belt in an attempt to make him feel good. A true sensei would have explained to him the reasons why he should not receive the belt. Belts are tossed around primarily on the basis of kata in Many westernized schools. And even with such a disgraceful thing to base it on, this man progressed in belts, while incapable of performing the kata effectively. Therefore this sensei is a fool.

However doing kata in public while being disabled without an arms and legs is an insult to Karate as a whole.. Reason why in Japan especially in Okinawa, they ask the applicant if he has disabilities.. Because if they have they won't let them take Karate because it would only hurt them. Only on the west where they let disabled people do Karate.. As a practitioner myself of Goju-ryu for 27 years. This is an insult to our Great Sensei Miyagi and all Senseis that come after him.. The stupid sensei of this disabled guy even gave him a black belt.. adding insult to the Art of Karate..

Why would they enable this kid's delusion like this? If they got him in front of a piano and filled the concert hall, and he repeatedly banged the keyboard with his forehead over and over, would everyone get up and clap at the end of the cacophony? I feel like this is trying to "be nice" and "inclusive" but comes across as patronizing instead. Poor guy.

Bronxbomber he is nowhere near being right, that's good sport for the guy, he looks like he enjoys what he does and what he did there. Don't like the fact that he is wearing a black belt. But the example that this guy gave to compare the two situations is absolute shit, I don't see how someone could agree with it. But I mean, some people are stupid so there's that.

It's disability karate!! Have you been heard about the Paralympic games? It's the same thing. I work with mentally handicapped and the joy and determination they show for what someone not respecting them would call meaningless or a waste of time, is a lot to learn from.
