After filming this video I realized that I didn't talk about the most popular prop for this cosplay, THE BAT-BOMB, I guess that will have to wait for another video… ;)
Also, please excuse how sweaty I am in some of these clips. Getting rid of bombs on hot days is hard work! lol

"Well Done James!!! This is exactly what we wanted when we created the patterns. Lynne and I are working artists and I couldn't afford the parts that were available back in the day. I kept hearing claims of "made just like the original" and thought that since these people have seen the original pieces, they must know. Well in short, they didn't. We wanted to let everyone share in what we learned when we had our opportunity to examine the original costumes so everyone can make their own with as much information of the originals as possible. Want to know the size of the belt? The length of the cape? How high the boots were? It's all there!!! Also, just so everyone knows, we pay a percentage of the sale of the patterns to the owner of the costumes as a way to say "Thanks" for sharing the information with us. That intro was epic and that is a beautiful costume.
Loved the video. I grew up with the TV show until Tim Burton blew our minds back in 89. Still like the design of the Adam West though and would love to have one on a mannequin. You of made that dream a reality. Thank you

Angelo Stephens THANK YOU! I got a mannequin, but unfortunately this costume doesn’t fit on it because of the way it’s stand works. My Jack Sparrow costume has mostly been living on it instead.
Hey Nerd, this is awesome. I'm 40 but grew up with this old batman series. You pretty much nailed it with the costume and portrayal.

Well done sir! I was able to purchase a few items from CYProductions and they are pretty cool. I also have the Mattel Cowl. I purchased the Ruby's deluxe costume, threw away the gloves, trunks, and boots but the belt was awesome. From CYProductions I purchased a batarang and the bat radio. I have the same boots you do. The Ruby's costume is a one piece with a zipper up the back, but any seamstress can turn it into a 2 piece and that is my next step. Thanks for posting!

Mark Lowther thank you. Glad you found this helpful. I used to have a modified version of the Ruby’s belt, well I still have it, but I don’t use it anymore, but yeah, it’s not half bad! Good luck putting together the rest of your costume. The Bat-Radio sounds pretty cool. I’d like to make a replica of the big yellow surfboard sometime.

I found that using old knee tall socks are a good base for boots, and then just glue on some shoe soles and it looks pretty good

I love the 1960's batman television series for a long time since I started watching the re runs and the movie from the 1960's
This year I bought the cheap Walmart one and with minor upgrades it has turned out really well.

I have an adam west batman costume that fits perfectly! Except...the cowl...my head is too big...does anybody know where i can get a bigger one? or maybe have it adjusted??

I have a question on the link for the boots you left in the description when is says special instructionss what does that mean? Also is there any other way I can find the pattern for the cape and trunks because it got taken down also what does the use date mean on the boots website sorry lol just confused me

Thanks for watching! On the boots, I think that's just if you need something customized when they make them. I'm not sure what type of special instructions they can actually accommodate. Not sure what to recommend outside of the US. You can always make your own with Chuck’s pattern.

Do the the shell with papier mâché and then, stick with hot glue the blue fabric on the shell. After that, stick with hot glue the front of the shell with black fabric.
How did you make the gloves? Was there a particular pattern that you followed? Chucks pattern only has the glove fins?

If I remember correctly I believe I cut apart a pair of gloves that fit me and used that as my pattern with the fin pattern from Chuck.

Michael Andrey Rivera Camacho if you look in the video description you’ll see links to buy the pattern I used for the trunks. That pattern also includes a partial template for the gloves. I took a pair of gloves from a costume store apart and used that as the rest of the pattern. I believe you can also purchase finished gloves & trunks from them on etsy as well.

Jonny Boy yes, I made the gloves. I used a store bought pair to help make a pattern for them.

@@JustSomeNerd ...I do have a question for you. What do you do about sweating in the leotard? This time of year, I sweat like it's my job. Especially under my pecs. Nobody wants a Batman with tit sweat. Do you wear anything under the leotard?

@@Smokeys911 unfortunately the only advice I have for that is to stay as cool as you can. Limit your time in the costume if you have to.
