I don't think it'll be quite that clean-cut 😂 I do, however, fancy AJ in that match-up. AJ has performed better against the guys they've both been in with (let's not count the MMA guy), but that only speaks to how devastating AJ can be. Fury is a tricky animal, and he's incredibly clever inside the ring. Landing on Fury isn't as easy as landing on, for instance, Wallin. That said... Wilder put Fury down hard. Wilder isn't the boxer AJ is. I also don't think he has the power AJ has. If AJ were to get that clean a hit on Fury that'll be all she wrote.

I'm sure that's a joke right? Usyk has gone out and unified two weight divisions. Did what he said he was going to do while his country is the underdog in a war. He's a amazing fighter and would like to see him do it all again. And it won't be closure because it's a fight. Any fighters you could have fight 10 times and come out a number of different results. Fury was arguably in the shape of his life and lot of people believed that Usyk could win. When Usyk beat Joshua for the first time a lot of people thought Usyk wasn’t that effective at heavyweight.

Those 3 fights with Wilder took some out of Fury, out of both of them. AJ’s jaws is no less suspect. Fury could land a good shot and hurt AJ and he will turn into a pussy cat. Fury had Usyk hurt a few times. That’s why he kept fighting the way he did, he was hoping to just keep winning rounds and eventually land something that would put Usyk down. If he would have let his hands go more he may very well won the fight. AJ on the other never had Usyk hurt or down on the cards. I will say this, AJ looked like he had gotten his confidence back. And that was before he KO’d Ngannou.

Casuals dont tend to really understand the intricacies of boxing and its scoring system. Ive heard people say Usyk battered Tyson. On the eye test I'd agree but when you look at punches thrown,, effective punches thrown, ring control, punches blocked, the round scoring system in general, etc it was a close fight.

There should never be 4 belts should be a clearly defined gold belt and perhaps another belt that makes you first in line for the gold belt

How can Simon say that this is the first time fury has faced adversity, are we forgetting he was depressed and sucidal and about 26 stone before he climbed off the couch to box the head off wilder and get a draw that should of been a victory? Its an absolute disgrace the way people have been bashing fury, made heavyweight boxing entertaining again and was considered a hero and because he realised how fickle boxing fans are he stopped dancing to the tune of the public people have turned on him. Is that a new record? The shortest amount of time any heavyweight boxer has held all 4 belts. Less than a week? All that build up for a unified heavyweight clash, ( which passed my expectations) the first in 25 years, and now the IBF have taken their belt away from Usyk.

Why could real fans want a part 2 Fury vs Usyk when it was not even Ben a close fight. Josh vs Fury is a more even fight, so it makes more sense

Rubbish! Usyk beat Fury fair and square. He KOd the man and the ref saved him. Even one of the judges attempted to steal the win from Usyk and give it to Fury. Usyk beat AJ and beat Fury. He is the guy at the crescent of the heavyweights and should now retire and go down in history as the best heavyweight to ever do it. Retire undefeated after cleaning out the devision, fighting the most skilled guys in the devision, 40lbs heavier than himself. Real fans of boxing will understand that we just witnessed history and a rematch will only potentially undo what Usyk spent his life working hard to achieve. He's done it. He completed the game. Beat the final boss. Fury vs AJ is a great fight and when Usyk retires, the devision opens up again for more great heavyweight battles from all the top 10 competitors.

Fury doesn't want AJ just like he didn't want Usyk. He knows he's a threat, now more than ever. It's why he teased him with potential fights only to pull out. Was meant to fight him before fighting Wilder a third time and was meant to fight him 2 Decembers ago only to bring out a random deadline. Losing to AJ would absolutely be the final nail in the coffin of his legacy.

Usysk does what he always does, he wears hos opponents down in the earlier rounds with his footwork etc making fighters work twice as hard then in championship rounds Usysk always goes up a gear...Plus his engine and chin is amazing and he hasnt abused his body over the years like Fury has.

What were people watching

Furys punch resistance has gone. I'm sure his wife will be begging him to retire, as he took over 10 clear shots to the head and sent round the ring like a spinning top! Those punches from Wilder have left their mark. Never was he in that state with all the knockdowns with Wilder. If he carries on he could end up like Ali.

Did you not see the left and right usyk hit fury with in 9th. I'm surprised he was even standing. Wasn't like he got hit by a Jab. He was knackered, should have better fitness in the rematch

Very little praise for the amazing ability and heart for Fury to survive the 9th round and somehow come out and get it together in the 10th and make it competitive in last rounds.

The Americans would argue that boxing is in great shape.

I don't know the ins and outs of rematch clauses but I hope Usyk shoves it right up Fury in the contract negotiations..

People don't mention the fact AJ fought Usyk 3 years ago, a reason I'm sure played into Fury messing him around for 2 years hoping he was on the downhill slightly. The guy is a machine but he isn't getting any younger & has a lot of miles on the clock from the amateurs

I dont think Fury will fight agsin. His legacy is alreasy questionable. If he fights a rematch and loses again his legacy becomes even more questionable. If he loses again to Usyk and then gives the causals their wish to fight AJ and loses there. Its now a forgettable career.

Its ridiculous theres that many belts in the 1st place,,everyone knows who is heavyweight champion,and it aint the chancer whos ending up with the ibf belt

Now we have multiple undisputed champs create the lineal belt or crown, whatever in each division as the man. Keep the other belts if you want but to be the true world champ you have to beat the man, incase of a retirement you have a tournament👊🏼🇬🇧

Boxing is broken. Need to get rid of rounds system, or at least re-work it into 15x 2 mins rounds, and give more points for a knockdown, and judges need to give more 10-10 rounds if it's a close round. Should mean more action and the right winner being announced more regularly. All the different belts is interesting, I like multiple champions, adds more jeopardy to the champion vs champion showdown. Perhaps a Super Championship could be given to those who hold multiple belts (or the most), to give more lustre to a single champ. But Turkiy is right, system needs tweaking at least, ideally overhauling.

Don't like the idea of two minute rounds. Women fight 2 minute rounds and it is just awful. Less time for fighters to apply pressure and stop their opponent. I agree more 10-10 rounds should be scored. Unless it is crystal clear who has won a round then it should be scored as even. Also means poor referees can be exposed more easily as less scope to hide behind subjectivity of scoring. Also agree that fragmented belts is not an issue. The WBC belt has been held hostage by both Wilder and Fury and unified champions Joshua and then Usyk could only defend twice a year at most. Fragmentation means more meaningful fights with something on the line.

Fury will never step in with AJ. Usyk is his last opponent.

Speaking as boxing fan, I’d actually like to see Usyk call it a day. Got nothing to prove, got more money than he can ever spend. Do to fury what fury did to Wlad.

Fury was wladimir’s mandatory so there should never have been a rematch in the first place

I'd say 90% of boxing fans want Fury/AJ over the Usyk rematch

Nothing to do with casual fans the problem is simple Fury = Warren AJ = Hearn Luckily Usyk has honest people around him

Tyson Fury can't fight Usyk. He's not good enough. There's no point. Fury needs to retire. He's too old and hasn't looked after his body properly. He's been unprofessional his entire career.

True boxing fans understand WHAT Usyk did to beat Fury and reckon there's not much chance those things are going to change in a rematch so want Fury AJ NOW!

Fury gave of his best and it was not good enough. No amount of perfuming the results could change the fact that Fury has lost the competitive edge and he's a tad slower and his reflexes not as sharp. You have to be a casual to think that Fury could win the rematch. Not going to happen and every man and his dog knows it.

@@marcust123 Who threw and landed more punches? Usyk. Who had more punching power? Usyk. Who was first and more aggressive? Usyk. Who was robbed of a KO in round 9 but for the ropes and referee? Usyk. Looking at the fight astutely, Fury won 4 or 5 rounds max while Usyk won 8 or 7 not forgetting that 10-8 round 9. I won't say that's very close.

It was a close enough fight for the majority to want to see them go at it again in my opinion. Can Fury make adjustments and pull through or will Usyk make adjustments and win with ease?! So many questions need answering.. What a great fight by two warriors. I'd LOVE to run it back. Fury vs AJ bores me for some reason.

No way could fury do any better in a rematch, and if AJ lands clean on fury it’s over, I doubt fury will fight either of them, I predicted usyk to stop fury and think he was robbed of that by the ref, but at least he still won,

even if there is a rematch it won't happen in October. Fury doesn't like to fight more than once every 10 to 12 months, he delayed the Usyk fight before the cut, then he got cut, and finally had to fight Usyk. I don't think we see the rematch this side of christmas if it happens. Usyk will want to make decisions of his own too. He's 38 next birthday, done everything, is now P4P king, undefeated, so if i were him i'd bow out at the absolute top and let the others squabble over the belts again. i think fury should retire too, he's shot. The punch resistance has gone and his work rate has dipped a lot. He looked good in rounds but he couldn't sustain anything for more than half a round and had to rest/ wrestle. If Joshua hits Fury he's out before he hits the floor. fury's been shot since the last wilder fight (wilder too) so i don't think it's worth the risk to his health any more.

BOTH should take place. Aside from Usyk who's dodged nothing and just fearlessly waltzed in and beat up everyone in the land of the giants, I've never known such a group of fight dodgers in all my life. The size of 'em too-you think they'd have a set of balls to match.

Fury's corner was a mess with his dad there shouting over Sugar.

Why not both? Why not Fury face AJ, and then the winner dukes it out with Usyk? Best of both worlds there. The losers fight to get second place, whilst Usyk gets his much-needed rest.

No, we want AJ vs Fury as a final eliminator for the Usyk rematch.

Tyson has proven what he is capable of against Usyk. Now he needs to prove what he can do against AJ.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Usyk retire. Boxing fans and casuals wanna see both not one or the other.
