    @@triangularshape8399 It's a pretty low budget film and it has been well received and loved by everyone who has seen it so idk. When Conan talked about the Lighthouse (another A24 film just like this one) he seemed more toned down about his excitement for the film.

    Adam Sandler manager got him out of Inglourious Basterds and Guardians of the Galaxy and his manager almost got him out of uncut gems so he can continue to make garbage movies like Jack and Jill. Adam should consider firing his manager.

    I have really bad anxiety during movies like Mission Impossible or any type of movie with any type of intense or suspenseful scenes. Uncut Gems doesn't give you a break, and my anxiety shot through the roof almost the entire time. I loved the movie.

    One of the darkest movies I’ve seen in awhile. You can’t take your eyes away from the screen for a second, even though you know the movie’s not going to have a happy ending. Watching a man go down such a path of total self destruction is just.. wow. The Safdie Brothers are fantastic filmmakers, and Adam easily just delivered the best performance of his career. It’s an absolutely travesty that he didn’t get nominated for an Oscar

When the credits hit it just dawned on me what happened at the end. Those guys prolly left cuz they couldn't take the pressure. It's a really stressful movie to watch.

    Sad thing is, is that’s the happiest ending Howard could possibly get. He might have paid Arno but at the end of the day he would bet all if not most of that money for another bet. He never really cared about the money he just liked winning. His gambling was a terrible addiction. He died winning and with a smile on his face.

    This was so awesome hearing Adam talk about his issue with crying. I have that same issue. I used to cry as a child when I was sad but as I grew up it just went away and my wife would tell me I was dead inside. Slowly the ability came back as my children got older and I started to get emotional about them leaving the home. Just nice to know others had this problem.

    There was such an underlying sense of urgency throughout the entire movie, it never actually felt like there was a true moment’s rest for Howard which may have well been the point.

    @@javaneseorange3881 I wouldn't call it underrated. It's very well reviewed (and won a bunch of awards) and seen as an iconic film. I mean, it was directed by Paul Thomas Anderson! I'd say a great underrated movie where Sandler plays a dramatic role is Reign Over Me.

    saw this movie on edibles. I was extremely stressed tf out by the end, but goddman it was such a great film. I think it did a good job of capturing both gambling addiction and the stresses of trying to keep up with that lifestyle

    Of all the movies that came out in 2019 "Uncut Gem's" was surprisingly one of the best films of the year and with all the other power house box office hits that weren't all that great, this movie came as a refreshing and intense story and Sandler kills it.

    Captain Danger I sometimes sing his tune “back to school” on sundays when I’m doing my lunch for work 😂 I love that movie. For me personally the best Adam Sandler movie will be Wedding Singer.

    Uncut Gems is one of the best anxiety induced films ever made. Adam Sandler delivered one hell of a performance since PTA's Punch Drunk Love. He better get nominated for an Oscar.
