    It's tragic to realize that with every movie he makes and every project he starts, Adam thinks "I wish Chris were here to be a part of this." 20 years later he still mourns. Friends like that are once in a lifetime.

    I lost my best friend last year. Friends for 30 years. He was my brother and my heart is missing a big piece that will never be filled. I rushed over to the hospital, clasped my hand in his and I just sat there as I played Barbara Streisand for him.

    Rhys James Your comment just made me smile through my tears. I miss my brother, my only sibling, desperately since losing him suddenly in 2018. He was 33 like Farley, so the song got to me. But you helped me to recognize how incredibly well he lived those 33 years, since the people he left behind constantly talk about how witty, kind, loyal, fun, reliable and happy he was. Thank you.

    Frankly, I think Chris is a big reason Why he became like this. Regarding his friends in movies I mean. After losing one of his best friends, he wants to make sure they get a hangout every so often. Being in Hollywood that is Hard because of schedules. So he solved it by hiring his friends. "Kevin, David, Chris (rock) and I haven't seen each other of 6 months. This won't do!" *proceeds to make a movie so HE Is part of their Hollywood schedule* LOL! It's brilliant and sweet! 💖

    A few years ago a co-worker passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at age 58. Besides the shock of it, the hardest thing for me was seeing the grief of his parents. Made my heart hurt and my eyes leak. His father and brother-in-law came in to pick up his personal items and the father wanted to see his desk. He went by my desk on the way, turned to me, I could see he still looked shell-shocked, started talking about how one minute everything was fine, the next thing the mother was calling out to the father, trying to pick him up from the floor (he had suffered a massive stroke), they called the ambulance, took him to the hospital, they thought everything was going to be fine, and then it wasn't - it was all I could do not to burst into tears at work hearing/seeing that at the time. Still shed a tear thinking about it.

    He never understood that he was so much more than "the fat guy". Yeah, he would poke fun at himself and would joke about his weight on occasion, but 90% of his comedy had nothing to do with his weight and would have worked just as well if he were skinny. Kevin James on the other hand, really _is_ nothing more than "the fat guy". That's his entire shtick. He eats too much, he can't hide behind things, he gets stuck in places, and he falls down. He really doesn't have anything else, and it just gets old really quick. I can't help but feel like the only reason Kevin James ever got famous at all was because Chris Farley wasn't around anymore.

If some of us could write a song about our losses, we would. And they would sound like this if they were genuine. RIP Chris Farley- he didn't deserve to be laughed at, just laughed with.

Depression is something you don't wish upon anybody.

    It makes me wonder if Kevin James would be in it though. I’m sure that he wouldn’t say it but it must make him a little bitter that he’s only landed a couple of his roles due to the death of one of Adams late friends. Just saying that James’ role would be obsolete as the token fat&funny guy if Farley was already cast.

  • @sanamketabi1560

    @sanamketabi1560

    Kevin James isn't in the movie just to play that role. He is in it because he's an incredible actor and they are friends who work together often. Their production team wanted to make a movie and I am sure built the characters around the actors they wanted to included. It isnt because there wasn't another "overweight guy" to choose from. Also it's not a certain role that once filled would exclude others. the main cast would just include more actors and each of them having a role, whether they play the similar character types or creating of new characters. There isn't a limit. It's not like okay we got one (a race or gender or body type) so now that's it and we can't add any more. There are 2 "short" characters(height mentioned in the movie, not my observations). Why can't there be two heavier set men. Another note, his character isn't even playing a stereotypical "overweight" character. They mention it like once or twice in a one liner joke, other than that his role is regular family man! I hope this didn't come off as angry/rude I was trying to make it seems as little aggressive as possible :):):) To clarify for myself: I hate that I had to write overweight and heavy set to make my point because they it feels insulting to focus on appearance over talent or the individual/personality as a human being. Just wanted to put that out there in case I offend anyone.

    Middle of a work day and stumbled upon this, never having seen it. Tears for Adam and Chris. I won't lie.

    That guitar solo is by no means a technical masterpiece, it's an emotional masterpiece. I really needed this in 2020. Thank you Adam, & thank you Chris Farley!

    I feel the solo achieved what it was intended to achieve. I think it truly expressed Adams emotions in that moment as simple as it sounded.
