Indeed! Though believe it or not, they actually sold them badged as a Cortina down in Portugal as well as a Taunus! 🤔🤣

Having the equal length headers is a good thing - with the factory manifold they're prone to cooking the middle two exhaust valves. Plus they run a bit better with the headers, which is a nice bonus.

Yeah definitely! A 4 branch is a nice easy and affordable upgrade for a pinto eh. 👌😎

Lovely car. I had a 1978 mk4 2.0 s Why is it badged as a 1.3L has it not got a 1.3 pinto? Very rare but yiu never know 😊

It was a Portuguese tax-dodge back in the day. If you asked the dealer nicely you could have your 1.6 badged as a 1.3 to pay less tax. 🤣

@@chrissybfcful yes, until you want to sell it as a 1.6s and nobody believes its not just a 1.3 with a pinto chucked in it. 😬🤣 The Portuguese love a good tax-dodge though, we could learn a lot from them! 😎

@MangustoGarage yeah be very desirable as 1.6 s but not as a 1.3 L soon as a saw it I thought it was an S. Very nice, just something about the S models. I also had a mk2 escort 1.6 sport. The detail goes right through the full range.

@@chrissybfcful indeed, I think they're the nicest spec through the range. The later styling of the lasers etc was 80's on a 70's cars and IMO I just wasn't as nice.
