Adam’s reaction was perfect! Even with all of the great music we got in 2020, this is hands down the track of the year. I haven’t been hit by a chorus like that in a while.

I loved the song too. Music is definitely subjective. Its Interesting how you two loved the song, yet another reactor said it was generic Bring me the horizon and was nothing he hadn't heard before. I loved Alazka's last album so this song was a winner for me too!

To me (Adam) it’s more about overall sound. It’s about how the elements come together, the tempo and feel changes and this song ahead some sick transitions. While I agree it wasn’t ground breaking for the genre, it was perfectly executed and very well written. The structure was not typical either. Florstans use of delay is so sick in the intro. 🥵

Flo's guitar solos are always on point, that was one of things that got me hooked when i first listened to Antares guitar playthrough on here aswell has Matteo's voice. I love this band so much and im kinda excited to see how they make their new stuff with Tobias. If anyone still wants to listen to Matteo's voice still check out Sal3m

His solos just fit the rest of the song so well. A lot of bands the solos sometimes feel forced in, like they just want to show off and it doesn't work. In novelists they're perfectly integrated into the rest of the song

I’ve watched this reaction 20 or more times now and I still get as much joy watching Adam lose his shit as I get from the actual song. One of the most genuine reactions I have ever watched haha sooooo good.

You guys gotta check out alazka, not quite like this and Tobias doesn’t really sing all that much but he’s a beast on vocals and for their only full length they had this guy kassim that was a very good clean vocalist.

@@dmpunk they don’t really have any songs that sound like this, they never used electronics or delay pedals or anything but I would recommend checking out evergreen, hearts of gold and blossom. You really can’t go wrong with anything they’ve put out tho

Interesting to see the slow return of singers doing both cleans and harsh. Hopefully technique will give their voice a longer shelflife.

Of all the new songs on the album (several of which are sub two-minute instrumentals or just mood music playthroughs), this is the song that sounds most like Novelists. It's a solid song.

They definitely scored big with the new vocalist IMO. Check him out in his last band.. Alazka - The Cure

I really wanted to like this but it's just not Novelists anymore. It's always different once a new vocalist is in the picture but his cleans are nowhere near the same level as Matteo's were.

I'm hoping it's one of their softer tracks, like À Travers le Miroir. Matteo's voice made the band, but hopefully there'll be some of their trademark riffs in future singles to save them

@@TrueShotOfficial Honestly the entire album structurally is incredible the way every song actually sounds like a continuation from the previous but I agree and then souvenirs with that grüv and solo, I like that they still have their sound and have Tobias, I will miss Matteo deeply but this is also not what I was expecting them to release.

I actually disagree with it being Alazka 3.0, this is still novelists! Yeah it's not matteo but he isn't the band you know? Yeah he's amazing and I was saddened he left, I got into the band with souvenirs and voyager but I really dig this new track! Do I think having tobias in made this another Alazka? Nah, it's novelists, you can hear all novelists elements with new elements added and it's great, it's shows that they're growing but still keeping some elements! But either way, let's enjoy this journey they're gonna take us in! 👌

I’m going to catch hell from this for sure - but this is basically a much more talented, heavier version of Bring me the Horizon. This is the first song I’ve ever heard from them, and I’m both surprised and impressed.
