Not generally into Gilliam's films, so the fact that this one was so good - indeed a triumph of sorts - was a special treat.

Cervantes's book is wonderful, "a trifle florid, perhaps . . ." but well worth the effort. And Terry Gilliam is one of the most imaginative and persistent filmmakers of our times. A wondrous, very rewarding film here...thanks yt for allowing me to enjoy this lovely film free for nothing! Pryce is a treat, and Driver turns in a flawless performance.

This annoyed me beyond the telling. _This_ is the story Gilliam waited so long to tell? He peaked with his trilogy of "Time Bandits", "Brazil" (his best film) & "-Baron Munchausen".
