My grandmother passed away unexpectedly the morning of the RR in '20. I'm forever thankful for Edge for being able to return made that day was less shitty. I tweeted out to him that it happened and he "liked" it, that's all i needed from him. Just to let him know how much i appreciate him.

Sorry about your grandma, but awesome that Edge's return gave you a moment away from your grief. I find, for me, that wrestling makes me forget about my problems. Even if it's just for a few minutes it puts a smile on my face and I feel excited enough that I forget about my sadness!!!

Edge/Adam Copeland. Such a legend and an inspiration. And for me personally a huge inspiration. To come back to wrestling after being told he was done resonated so much with me. It actually put in motion me getting back into Karate after told I was done too. He'll never see this comment, but lord I have to thank him for his return to wrestling. That 2020 rumble pop will live with me forever.

His promos, his ability to read a crowd, his understanding that there's more than just the wrestling portion, his smarts and creativity. Interesting how his uncles death took such a huge toll on him and wrestling was the thing that hooked him to take some of the weight off the grief. I don't think people see it coming, but I think there's always been a long term plan for him in AEW. He's always been a heel. He's not going to retire before a heel run.
