It’s take a strong man to recognize and admit and take accountability for his mistakes and his setbacks. You have come a long way and you are instilling your wisdom into your children who one day will carry on the legacy you have left for them

Adam you just spilled the beans, your human. Yes a lot of us have made mistakes and thankfully alot wake up to the fact and a few have the will as you do to fight back. Dude you'd be awesome to sit down to and talk. I suffer from panic attacks and it has been a battle to go do what I want at times and that cooks up the pissed off part. I'm not mad at anybody but myself for not being able to control my own mind. It came out of now where and the thing that pisses me off is I'm not afraid of shit. Something in my head is but I fight it the best I can and push myself to get out. Enough about my shit. You have a beautiful family and yeah I like your stories for a lot of what you say I can relate to. You came from a sorry existence to what you now have as a life, dude that's some inspiring shit right there. I also listen to your music and I like Up Church Big Smo alot or different people but always see one from you and I may not respond but you can bet I was there listening. Personally I think your awesome you been in that fight and have won. You just keep doing what your doing. Damn your boy has grown. Take care ....

That's amazing, unfortunately it's not that way for a majority of Addicts, addiction is a product of evil of Satan, and sadly it's much harder for most to see past it and they abandon everything they have for their next fix, you are an exception and I commend you, you would make a good counselor. Thank you for sharing.

I’m 23 years sober. Just celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary. I thank God everyday for my wife and life I have. I should have lost it so many times. Thank you Jesus Christ for the new chance. Every day that goes by is one for day to the good balance sheet to the amends I owe my wife and best friend.

I doubt this comment gets read, but i feel like i need to share... I spent 15 years rippin and runnin doing heroin. All types of crime, homelessness, turning girls out. Whatver it took to keep my habit alive, i was gonna do it. I went to county jails, countless rehabs, and finally prison. Ive been clean for 7.5 years now. Been out of prison for about 5. I started a painting business 6 months after i got out and its still growing. Ive got an amazing wife and step kids. One of the step kids now works full time for me as a painter. Ive been a fan of yours for about 4 years now. I just want to say thanks for your music A Cal. Its gotten me through some tough times. Appreciate you brother. You da man!

Keep them coming. As a man of 68, I’ve walked in your shoes. Came out the other side by the Grace of God and living a life I never thought possible. Your message(s) are going do more good than you will ever know and touch hearts that need your love. Keep them coming. As I’ve learned life isn’t about searching for happiness, happiness is a byproduct of living the right kind of life. The journey home is never a direct route. Keep on trucking my good man! 🙏

This is so true that is an awesome response. and one of the best teachings is that we must stay on the narrow path stay away from the wide path and people are starting to get it. I’m also your age and that can’t be more true! Stay in line with God, and stay on that narrow path from here on! The wide path is the devils detour!

Never trust a woman who will abandon her family for another d!ck. I agree wholeheartedly with what you are saying. Being a Father, husband, a MAN - means standing through the trouble, sacrificing vice & striving for honor and virtue. The most sacred job we can have is that of a Family. Thank you for sharing YOUR TRUTH. That's the thing about TRUTH - it's the same for all of us. 🌲🦌🌲

I'm 45 years old. I ran from marriage and responsibility into my 30's. Me and my wife have been married, June 12th will make 15 years now. This woman has stuck with me through thick and thin, and I've stuck with her. Much like you, I dated her, but ran from her at the same time for a solid year. I honestly treated her like crap at times, yet she stuck with me and wouldn't give up. Now we've been married for almost 15 years and I have three daughters who are my world. A lot of people say and claim this, but I would lay down my life without even blinking an eye for her, or my daughters. She is my world, and a plan on being her husband and best friend for eternity, even after this short life on earth, so I would never ever cheat on her for any other woman. Men, if you find a woman like that, who won't give up, and sticks with you no matter what, then you better marry her, because a woman like that only comes around once in a lifetime, if your lucky.

It’s so bad right now. All of us NEED Jesus in order to be FILLED…. Once I accepted him FULLY 💯 my life Changed! I can’t tell u all the ways I’m blessed in my life now. The Miracles he’s working in me and for me… I’ll keep your Family in my prayers along with my son, whom I’m also working on and planting that seed for Jesus to grow. Males for some stupid reason, don’t understand, screwing around is a damn sickness.. and if you CAN’T realize that, or REFUSE to realize that.. you’re doomed for life.. Thanks for sharing brother. There are reasons why celebrities take their own lives. All the money and fame in the world means nothing if you can't be happy with yourself. Life requires more than the materialistic and pharmaceutical vices we use to fill that void. For me it was Christianity and serving my family and helping others and once I started caring more about making others lives better worrying about me became an easier task to deal with. I so appreciate that you come on here and spit truth. Cheers

A baby boy... FOR REAL😱 I couldn't be more happy for you and Marjorie. Thank you for sharing your wonderful news with us😊 I am so glad that Marjorie didn't leave you Adam. She's devoted and loves you beyond the moon and stars. It is her that helped form the Adam that I enjoy and very much respect. Thank you so much for sharing your life experiences with us Adam. I enjoy hearing about how you got where your currently at😊 More life stories would be great👍Much love to the entire Calhoun family💜💜💜💜

We’ll most likely never meet. However, you’ve been such a great inspiration in many ways brother. Our first daughter/child will be 13 months this Friday. My wife is everything and I by far grabbed the moon with her. Just know we all got your back. We’re proud of you. 👊🏻

Jesus will fill the void and nothing can make you ceeo empty again. Things will happen still and hurt. But the emptiness never returns. I can't explain it any other way then when i gave my life to Jesus everything changed.

Nobody is perfect and just because your "Adam Calhoun" doesn't shield you from that your human we do make mistakes and it does take a man to admit to those mistakes. I've been a big fan of your music you sing from the heart and don't sugar coat anything I will always be one of your biggest fan and supporter. Your wife is a good woman and you was right about most women would left cause they would but I believe everything happens for a reason no matter what you have done that woman was put in your life for a reason so cherish her and your family and congratulations on the new baby ❤❤

A lot of us went through this, brother. My wife is the reason for my survival and getting out of bed because she saved me from that. Semper Fi to your boy 👍🏻. Didn't know he was in.

Thank you for this video man. I’ve had 1 woman stick by me through thick and thin for almost 20 years now and in raised her 5 year old as my own, he is about to be 20. We have a 4 year old son and I love my family yet that feeling you had that empty feeling is still there in me and I don’t know if it’s because of the things I’ve been through and the C-PTSD doesn’t make anything easier. All I’m saying is you’ve been a very big inspiration for me , your a really great man working on your day to day life. Just like me your still working on you, if you could give away some pointers that would be great! Thank you Adam truly for your music and your words, they always hit home.

My brother... Thank you for your testimony, it will definitely change someone's life, takes a strong man to open up like this.. We're sinners, all of us, that's the way God designed us, we fail Him each and every day yet He forgives us our sins.. Keep on keeping on, brother, you're doing amazing things and God, along with the rest of us, has your six.. God Bless you and your amazing family, Jesus loves you.! 🙏🏻❤️👊🏻
