I'm 30 and just bought a bass. Got no amp or anything but trying to learn and this is inspirational. Adam is a great player, and seeing him with one of my fav brands making a signature bass is awesome, just that.

I urge you to get a small practice amp, you have to learn muting or youll sound awful once you finally plug in. Its 100% needed for a beginner

I think that bass is versatile enough to fit any genre. And I think for everything that it is a sub 1k price point is amazing.
