Feel like walking in the Japanese garden! Enjoy!
I visited the Adachi Museum of Art, which opened in Yasugi City, Shimane Prefecture in 1970. The museum is famous for its wonderful Japanese garden, but it also houses a collection of modern Japanese art, including a display of tableware by Rosanjin and paintings by Yokoyama Taikan. Photography is not allowed in the paintings and art exhibits, but is allowed in the garden.
It has been voted the best garden in Japan for 19 consecutive years since 2003 by the Journal of Japanese Gardening, an American magazine specializing in Japanese gardens. The museum is visited by more than 600,000 people a year from Japan and abroad.
The ranking is based on "the excellence of Japanese gardens that can be appreciated today," and the Adachi Museum of Art was especially highly evaluated for its excellent maintenance and management of the vast garden down to the smallest detail.　
1970年に島根県安来市に開館した足立美術館へいってきました。素晴らしい日本庭園が有名ですが、魯山人の食器の展示や横山大観の絵画をはじめとする近代日本美術のコレクションも収蔵しています。絵画や美術品の展示は撮影不可ですが、庭園はOKです。
