That is exactly what you should tell a child. "I am dissapointed because I know you're a know better than that." For example, Not you're stupid or you're worthless. No, say am disappointed because being disappointed in someone means you did not expect that of them, why, because perhaps you think they're too intelligent to do whatever they did.

Her hands are slippery or may be she is always fearing.Let her apologise and not to repeat again,let her be careful also.

Avoid correcting one child infront of the others or even adults. Other kids watamchochea which kills her self esteem and thinks she is hated or the black sheep. This in turn brings out their defensive mode which comes out as rude and not apologetic. Also, telling them they have dissapointed you especially hawa pre-teens and teens does a number on their self esteem. They have a weird way of processing such words. Protect your childs dignity while correcting them
