ADA Basics - Substrate System (english)
In this Video you will learn how to use the ADA Substrate System
It starts with the Aquasoil range. You will learn the most important features and how Aquasoil works. Also the three different types are explained and compared with each other. Get to know which one is the best for you, Amazonia Malaya or Africana.
Next Power Sand is explained. What is Power Sand made of and how it works. When to use S M or L is also explained.
Following you will learn the three substrate additives Bacter 100, Clear Super and Tourmaline BC. What are their stand alone function and how they work all together. Also the proper way of dosing the substrate additives.
Next we speak about the stick type fertilizer products Iron Bottom and Multi Bottom that can be injected into the substrate with Bottom Release tool. How to use demonstration included.
Finally we show you the Cosmetic Sand Series including Colorado, La Plata Sand and Aquagravel S.
Just before the videos ends you see what kind of leaflets are available at your local ADA dealer and where to find further information.

Will the Amazonia physically breakdown over time? I know many aqua soils that turn into a muddy texture over time
Would you be able to use this for turtles?
hello I saw that you put the sand directly without washing it (as specified in the package) what do you recommend?

Do you know “Bottom release tool” is still available for purchase?
Why cant we use Aquasoil for Catfishes? Or is it just for a few particular Catfish Species? As I'm planing to put Cory Catfishes, So a little Highlight on this topic would be really grateful... Thanks.

So if I have an established tank and I rescape and add Amazonia and do daily water changes is it safe to keep my fish in?
Can I wash off ada plata sand when redesigning after having it mixed with gravel?
Anyone knows the shelf lifetime of this products? I ask this because in the boxes it doesn't say and I have still many closed bottles of for instance tourmaline and bacter 100. Thanks!

The structure of aquasoil is way too rough for their sensitive mouths. I guess it'd be like sucking on a saw all day, for us! ;)

As far as I've seen on the Net with all the Videos and stuff, Many people have successfully housed Cory Catfishes with Aquasoil. So is it advised for a few particular Catfish Species to not be kept with Aquasoil?

lol, with this substrate u will be so busy changing water its not even fun :D Better is put a non-nutriens substrate and place NPK tablets where needed
