The most elegant trance party i have ever been into.
Fantastic audio quality & stereo image. Big props to the sound technicians.
after having played this a few years back and remembering how hard it was to put together, I really appreciate this performance. One of my favorite pieces. So much tonal color. And the rave movement rocks!--
Das muss ich mir mal öfters anhören, damit ich verstehe. Dank an das Orchester und Dirigent für dieses Erlebnis.
Spectacular! Thanks.
The climax at 24:18 must be jaw dropping to see live!

Not the best version that I've heard, as others have stated. I do appreciate the preamble though.

The cow bells were wonderful but I missed the mooooooooo....
So klingt der Rosenmontagszug in Köln. Dance Club (Techno) hab ich darin nicht gehört.
25:39 shi*t! no mute
Just when you think it's starting to get interesting it doesn't.
The piece opens with a cowbells solo at 08:00 for 30'' and the guy doesn't hit half the notes.

well, he does, do you want me to show you the score?
This is a horror film score, right?
@BixenteFabregas
4 жыл бұрын
Nope, but it's noteworthy that, for horror films, composers use atonalism and non-standard time signatures. In an other space-time continuum, maybe composers would use Bach-like harmony and 4/4 bars, because in that world, atonal music would be the norm and tonal music the exception...
A masterpiece of our time performed with conviction - what a treat. Thank you for sharing. One quibble: why are the musicians wearing the clothes people wore 2 centuries ago?
@codascheuer8426

Those are tuxedos. A lot of people still wear them today. This is the standard concerto dress for orchestras.

1 1/5 centuries. Why is everybody wearing jeans today? Same story. Conformism.
The conductor speaks too much. Anyway a very challenging music.

Maybe because it is in German? Because as for me, being it one of my first times listening to Ades, I really am greatful for what he said and explained guided me very well through the piece. If sitting in the audience I would be really grateful and I think he did really well. Anyway, I really enjoyed the piece! All the best!

What he did is amazing and should be done ofter to show big audiences the esthetic of new music and to offer the possibility of going much deeper in the pieces.

I do not see that this music is going to further western art. It is attractive to only a few and with the cacophony of of modern life, why listen to more. As usual the lip service preludes the performance for legitimacy.

Well, at least I know I won't encounter your comments on any other threads underneath videos of "this music" again, right? Since you've already passed your judgment and all. Otherwise, from here on, your input, however cultured, is trolling at its core.

I mean what if I just enjoy it? Than is that not ‘furthering western art’? It’s just not in your direction. It’s ok to have some music be not for some people.

Well, it already has in its use of irrational time signatures.
