It just really makes me happy that there are actually videos about things like this these days because back when I used to build stereo systems in my vehicles Amps were soo ridiculously OOVVEERR Rated & Terribly Under Powered that you just NEVER knew what you were getting until you hit the play button and were seriously letdown and upset when the Subs barely moved lmao. 🙃

Right!!! I had a US Amps that was "rated" 250 watts, i ran 3 twelves with it and managed a 150db burp on the meter. Pretty good for a two-fiddy. Paid a fortune for it in 1995 though.

@@Hammerback972 Back then when I kinda fell out of it, well I had gotten a wife is what happened lol, but Amps were changing finally and everyone I knew started getting a Brand called Zapco which were true power and clean sound too. But now things are just insane like Taramps, CTSounds, SKar, and others I never heard of that are nuts too. I'm not sure what changed but it did.

Hell yea! I won one of these in a contest they had before they where released!

WOW I LOVED IT!! Way better than I was expecting.

Ct Sounds makes real nice amps they always put out the rated power and then some. I run the Messa series for my subs and comps and never had any issues.

Wow, I was not expecting this!

This convinced me to go all ct sounds!

I have several of the AT series 4 channel amps. They are 3 years old now and have given me no problems. Running the 150.6 and the 200.4. Not sure if they make the 200.4 anymore but it’s been a great amp and sounds good too. Only problem is finding mids and highs that will handle the amps.

I have this amp as well as the 2000D and this thing is a beast super clean sound never heats up and shut off i have it on 2 Meso`s 12s and they even love it great amp love it and would love to see you test the CT 2000 D and see what it does 👍👍👍👍👍

That efficiency at 1ohm is nice!!! About 20% more efficient than similarly priced amps out there.... Ok, I see you CT....

The entire new CT line are bad ass every one of them does overrated and you can’t blow them up. The power supplies are over built in them that is why your dyno running the way it was. Just clean power going into that out of the power supply of that amplifier.

That amp looks solid!! Thanks for doing a dyno with it, I've been curious about CT sounds because they got a good price and they don't lie about the ratings like cheap knock off brands do.

CT Audio products are what's being called Budget Car Audio, but with that being said do not let it Devalue the name, honestly in my opinion what they're doing with the Ads are Killer Marketing Tactics! My Belva BB5000D which is a 3k RMS amp ran me $250 and is a tank. I've already fried a ground wire upon installation, had my live wire pull free from the terminal on the amp, ripped the tinsels out of my Sundown Xv2 10 and it's still playing. If I had taramps I would have had a fire with each issues I've came across

"It's just making power and doesn't clip" .....every bassheads dream. Lol

@facekicker So I got a ct sounds 80.4 and a ct sounds 1500.1 and when I went to set the gain I turned them both up and didn't see clipping on my oscilloscope, I didn't know what was going on, I still set the gain around or below half way cause I didn't know if something was off

That thing is way heavier than it looks. It's pretty compact so it will deceive you. I just got mine in for a pair of Meso 12's and went to pick it up like it was 10 or 15 pounds. Feels more like 25 or 30. Heavy inspires confidence in my mind.

The amps make good power they're usually under rated a long time ago people used to have problems out of them the PC board used to move around on the inside I hope they fixed that problem

Hi. Will the hifonics bg1900.1 you dyno tested good match for my MTX terminator dual 12 500w rms, wired at 2 ohm, 1000w rms - 2000w peak vented box or would the BG-2200.1D be better?

My question is would that amp get hot playing music for lest say a good drive? I have to upgrade my amp because I don't like how hot it's getting. Not melt the back seat hot but hotter than I would like it to get.

The very first run of CT branded amps were identical to the ATs save for the logo itself, with rounded white case and LEDs. After that, they got a new look.

I ran the Crossfire 17k, we were past the edge of the Dyno limits the whole time and most the results were simply "OVER".

Can they run at .05 ohm ???

I have a brand new one and haven't used it yet

I figured the amp would do rated and probably 100 or so over, but I was really surprised how much over and did the efficiency. Was that good. One thing I hate about a lot of amps when they have a subsonic filter is they don't have off at the end of the potentiometer they have like 10 or 15 hertz this one has off up to 50... Nice I base CT sounds on their subs and I would say they're a middle of the road brand so it's nice to see they put a quality builder behind their amps.

Would anyone recommend this amp for two sundowns x12 v3’s?

I'd put anything reliable that does 2-3k on them and feel good about it. The CT 3200 is a good option as would be Taramps Smart3k or even MD3000 2 ohm model.

It’s going on a boat does that matter? I should go class d is that correct??? The speakers have a option for 1 or 4 ohms wat does that mean and if I have them both one 1 is that why I would get a 2 ohm amp?

@@carviews9866 as long as the boat has enough battery support it's no different than a vehicle. The subs are D2, you would set the switch on each sub to 1 ohm, then wire the two subs in series for a 2 ohm load at amp.

There's a chance you'd see protection circuit, but with proper electrical it should be fine with rise over 1 ohm.

These CT amps don't really get hot they play for a while and barely warm

I don't think you're setting gain correctly if it's clipping during the certified test.

The certified test literally requires you to bring the amp to clip, the dyno stops reading at 1% clip or distortion and that is your certified number. The very brief flash of the red light as power ramps up is from the resistor banks being loaded and not from clipping.

There have been many ct sounds amps on the dyno in the past. They usually do good numbers but sadly I feel they are over priced unless they have come down.

@@DAMAGE-X- depends on which line u buy from them. Probably the chinease line of amps. I want a Korean amp. Everything has went up. Look up their older white Korean 7k. I think they only saale the smaller model now but it's way overpriced

I bought 2 of the amps from the AT line. The only line higher is the team amps. They weren’t over priced and have been running strong for 3 years now. The only amp I have that’s over priced is the JL 1200 HD!!!

@@Facekicker I agree. I checked several sites and they were out of stock but I think CT has availability. I would purchase at least one but I would have to redo my floating Template, Rewiring of my other amps and devices just to fit this bad boy. Mach1's have limited space in their trunks and I'm trying to keep the clean look. But seriously considering this and a CT-150.4D if it delivers as well. Keep up the good work! And keep them honest....
