I've had ALL sense I was 16. I've had to explain it so many times, and answer so many questions but you're series on leukemia really helps with all that and now I can just show them a video instead of trying to explain it, thank you.
I could no for the life of me remember what cells were in which of these leukemias. In three videos, you have made me understand a month and a half of my class material. Many thanks, genius...

@@da_great_mogul hey yeah she is on the maintenance phase now, and she’s doing really well. From the time I posted the comment above, it was a roller coaster ride. Lots of days that we were really worried and days that we would have high hopes. I hope everything’s well with you

@@tondoboi8494 to be honest, no. My gran most likely has this. Mum is going into the hospital in 3 hours to get the diagnosis. She's like a Mum to me. I'm distraught and can't stop crying. She's had a good and long life but she was fine until a few days ago. Sorry to vent this to you here but it's very fresh and I've spent all day on the phone to mum trying to be strong for her. I'm so thankful your daughter is doing well. She deserves a long and healthy life. God bless xxx

ALL has acute in the name so is dangerous anyways according to what the teacher from Khan has said. From another video(not Khan) CLL is said to be least dangerous. So, ALL, AML, and CML are all dangerous.
Isn't the 9;22 translocation pathomnemonic for CML, not ALL?
@vijaynegi6164

ALL can present with 9:22 translocation i.e philadelphia chromosome .. that’s why we use Tyrosine kinase inhibitor even in ALL !!
Going to lectures, spending hours ? Nope watching a video for 10mins...
Very dark..why...
9:28 - The musician Chris Squire died of acute erythroid leukaemia, so it DOES happen occasionally in the real world.
Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) is more common in kids because when they go to Toys R Us they want it ALL!!!!!!! Little way to remember!!!!

It also appears in precursor B-Cell ALL.
Now,how can you be able to notice the translocation thing under microscope
My wife died of ALL. I am convinced that it was Secondary Acute Leukemia. Prior to the ALL, she had thyroid trouble & had part of her thyroid removed & was taking synthroid. Later, her doctor had her take a radio-Iodine 131 treatment. Irradiating the body too much, (I believe) cause too many mutations....the result being adult ALL. She was diagnosed in early 2005 & died a few months later. I should of sued Dr. Leroy Schroeder. We had no idea of the risks of this. So if you are recommended to have a radio-iodine 131 treatment for thyroid.... don't do it! Its a death sentence. I bet I can't sue anyway....Its been too long.
12:21 analogy gun... Ummmmm... UMMMMMMMMM (Sorry for being immature)
Sad to see that you did not talk more about Acute Erythroblastic Leukemia. I was diagnosed with AEL when I was 16 months, so yeh. It's a real thing that happens in the REAL WORLD you know, not only theoretically. Anyways, I am now trying to find more information about the type of cancer, but I guess it is hard to find. :/
You lack the scientific explanation of why things are as they are. Eg. why does chemo respond better to 12:21 translocations? An analogy is fine but only if you also sum up the reason. Your colleague that did videos on the myoloproliferative disorders managed to do this, so it should be doable :). Medicine is after all a scientific field. Also what about treatment and symptoms?

Yeah thanks for not explaining AML hahahahaha
Good videos, but very "wordy" you could have saved a lot of time if you did not reiterate everything 4 different ways.
Very helpful, thanks!
