My '07 Tech ticks all my boxes. I never thought in a million years I could actually enjoy driving an automatic! Trying to be nice to it (within reason lol) to get as much life out of it as I can although, in terms of fun factor, it's already paid for itself in the few months I've had it. Love that thing so much I won't shut up about it 👌

Lol When I have a friend who constantly bags me for not having a RWD V8 that displaces over 400+ HP from the factory…. I did give in, and I can tell you, I’d much rather go back to a 9th gen (13-17) Honda Accord V6 coupe. Even if I do manage to not find another manual (6MT) to build, I’d gladly take a low mileage 6AT any day, and at least build the brake system, suspension and chassis bracing all around, and do other mods that might help with weight reduction (ex: lighter wheel setup, single exit exhaust, etc.). I would gut the interior, but these higher end Honda’s for the price I pay with a clean title and lower mileage, usually are NOT worth “trashing” like that IMO. Unless you’re making at least 400+ WHP, gutting an interior in these 3500+ lb cars is kinda pointless. The automatic models are sadly not that performance inclined, but they’re also far from just being sub-200 HP grocery getters. I had a 9th gen (13-17) Honda Accord LX manual (6MT) sedan (basically a Sport model without some interior upgrades and a dual exit exhaust), and even with just a simple FBO and custom e-tune with a much lighter wheel setup, it was decent fun. I still managed to get 24-26+ MPG on the freeway on average, and would usually get a minimum of at least 20-21 MPG in the city if not driving hard or having a lot of stop-and-go traffic. And no, I would not own a CVT model personally, but for anyone who would want one and doesn’t mind, it’s not bad for PRACTICAL reasons. I definitely would rather have something like the DCT from the 16+ Acura ILX. If I remember correctly, the 13-15 (pre-facelift model) actually had the same K24W1 that the 9th gen Accord 4-cylinder models all came with.

I had an 08 RDX. The most fun SUV to drive. It was a blast. almost 200K miles until I blew it's turbo. RIP

@@LandonClimbs yea it's definitely been a fun 4 years daily driving (speeding) in it. lol 😆 Only been on shop twice I think. Very reliable and easy to work on myself with help of KZread and Acurazine forum. Parts readily available too
