Spending days hunched over a computer, behind a driving wheel, or simply sitting with a bad posture, puts a lot of pressure in the neck and shoulder, resulting in stiff shoulders, lack of flexibility in the neck and headaches. The massage will work from your upper back up to the top of your head. Head, shoulder and back massages soothe away tensions in your upper body, break down knots and improve your flexibility. It helps relieve headaches by stimulating the nerves on your scalp and the blood circulation within your head. You will feel relaxed and re-energized.
Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a euphoric experience characterized by a static-like or tingling sensation on the skin that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine, precipitating relaxation. It has been compared with auditory-tactile synesthesia. Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) signifies the subjective experience of 'low-grade euphoria' characterized by 'a combination of positive feelings, relaxation, and a distinct static-like tingling sensation on the skin'. It typically begins 'on the scalp' before moving 'down the spine' to the base of the neck, sometimes spreading 'to the back, arms and legs as intensity increases', most commonly triggered by specific acoustic, visual and digital media stimuli, and less commonly by intentional control.

    For all y'all making fun of the chip clips and chop sticks, let me tell you something AS a massage therapist. Those exact same damn tools, made by the same company out of the same materials (but with some woo, new age sticker bullshit on them) would cost $25+. Same tool, same function, just with a fancy brand label. Body work supplies have a TREMENDOUS markup. Personally, I thought the chip clips to work pressure points were ingenious.

    I’ve watched the video loads of times and it always relaxes me and puts me right off to sleep. And for some reason the clothes pegs / chip clips on the fingers just work, I get extra tingles in those bits coz it’s like probably a pinching / almost painful sensation but I bet it feels hella good!

    I absolutely love your videos! I had an idea though, i wasn’t sure if you’d thought of. I know you wear the mic on your watch to pick up the massage sounds, but sometimes it picks up if your watch hits the table or something. Have you ever considered having the person you’re massaging Wear the mic? They don’t move as much as you so it may not pick up as much unnecessary sounds. Just an idea. Either way i still love your videos!!

    Devin Villers I think it would be hard to find a spot where the mic could pick up sounds well enough without being in the way, as he/she massages all the way to the elbow... But I do agree on the fact that it would be better not to have those extra sounds... Maybe like someone said earlier if the mic was taped on the table ?

  • @summerdais325

    @summerdais325

    6 жыл бұрын

    Lewis Fane For me personally, I didn't reply meaning I literally cannot feel touch, rather it has been so long I have forgotten what it feels like. However, your comment got me thinking. Why can't I remember the sensation of being touched? I grew up with major trauma. To cope, I dissociated (from touch). I married a man who only touched me sexually and usually crudely or worse. After hurting me badly a couple times, that, too stopped. Years went by. Abuse continued. Now I have been divorced ten years. I completely isolated myself and cut myself off from touch. I don't know how to safely and non-sexually seek touch. For that matter, I don't know how to get safe sexual touch. Sadly, I really don't remember what human touch feels like. Hope that wasn't too much information. Your question wasn't rude. :) Maybe I will get a massage.

    Great video but the mic was picking up unnecessary sounds, maybe consider putting up a stand in front of the person you’re massaging so that you can freely move without having to worry about those random sounds, thanks for the video, i got lots of tingles

    +Akan Ikhsan A lot of proper massage is, slightly at least. I've gone several times for a full back, shoulder and neck massage (which included my arms and hands) and it was pretty rough; Especially in the trouble areas. Afterwards you feel light and amazing, like an actual physical weight has been lifted off you. If they're too light and gentle on you, it doesn't actually accomplish what you're trying to.

    The difference is between "therapeutic" massage and "relaxation" massage. If it's for general relaxation, pain isn't a part of the massage, but if it's to actually loosen tight muscles then pain is almost guaranteed, and sometimes quite a lot. It all depends on what you're getting a massage for.
