Probably one of my favorite planes in WT, until the A-4M gets added. The M is able to get AIM-9Ls, and would also get some really great GE skins

I don't think 9Ls on an A-4 is going to be great. The plane will be at like 10.0 and be uptiered against almost-top-tier all the time.

the A-4N IS an A-4M just modified for israeli service.

The A4N is my favorite plane in the israeli tree. The 9D are fun for long range and the Shafrir 2 are just funny. Mavs and Walleyes are awesome at ground rb too

i think the A-4N has enough things that make it unworthy to be called "its an A-4E but..." the A-4N has: * J52-P-408 engine which is massively more powerfull than the J52-P-8A used by the A-4E/F and A-4H * ballistic computer for bombs * access to AGM-65A Mavericks and more advanced air-to-air missiles * should have a radar aswell but it doesn't

It has a bunch of things differently to the A4E like -the thing you mentioned -something you will only use in tank rb -something else you will only use in tank rb -suspended armament which has nothing to do with the flight performance -something that it doesn't have in game

@@jblack1593 i regularly use bombs and AGM-65s in air RB. THE CCIP makes it much easier to bomb and AGM-65s are very fun to use on enemy aircraft on the airfield. highly recommend to always take AGM-65s with you, if you dont want the extra drag just shoot all 3 on light pillboxes as soon as you get to the center to get some extra points.

Your teammate taking out a plane on your six is the most remarkable part of this video to me. I was dragging 4 planes around behind me earlier and not an of support from my team even when I had half the remaining enemy team on the deck behind me completely occupied and drained of energy.

So, uh, quick update on the plane some weeks after this video came out: The Shafrir 2s have uncaged seekers now; is it going to stay, who knows. There is literally no purpose to picking the AIM-9D loadout. In the current Frogfoot spam meta, this plane is absolutely comical.

Su-25 spam actually makes F4D somewhat tolerable-ish, if your team has a brain cell to go around. At least you can abuse shit detection system and dive on clueless Su-25s from top and maybe get a few kills

I just unlocked the metior nf and I'm grinding for the A-4 Skyhawk, im hyped

I think the main thing that bothers me about WT, and what took me so long to figure out and get used to, is that it feels like you ARE the plane instead of flying the plane. In DCS and all other Sims you are in the cockpit flying the thing. In War Thunder it's literally 3rd person, so you are the plane and it takes an entirely new way of flying to figure it out. In DCS I am pretty good, in some aircraft better than in others. The A4 in DCS I am great and I've tamed it in that game. In WT though it's a struggle, such a struggle.

Watching this on a road trip rn :)

E are better. They are pretty much Bs that turn better.

This plane is fucking amazing in sim. It fits in the 8.0-9.3 BR bracket but it has the best missiles in the bracket. It has a better engine and it has RWR. Plus the usual characteristics of the A-4. Good bombload and flares.

I’m mainly a ground RB player, but I like to dogfight in ground RB. Right now, I’ve been using the second meteor on the Israeli tech tree and I’m at 9.0 How does this plane compare to it? And are any of the other Israeli planes similar? I’ve had a lot of fun with the climb rate in the meteor, and the boom n zoom potential has saved me more times than I can count.

After so many missions using the a4e and getting 2 kills. How do you fly this plane exactly.

Made this my SL grinder. Just be aggressive. You've got the accel to ditch out if you need to and 30 flare drops with default on flares (no SARH missiles at 9.3) is pretty cracked for that low of a br. Everyone underestimates you because they see the big "A4" marker and froth at the mouth thinking its a free kill.

They're all good but the Meteor is better in almost every way except gun placement. I say grind them all, you'll need to spend time in tier 5 to get to 6 anyways.

Gotta side climb and can’t turn. Go for the bombers at the start of the match & rack up easy 2-3 kills on them, then go for fighters! 190s are very hard to learn, but god tier once you figure them out!

I asked you once a little while back if you actually still had fun in the game or if you just played for content. You said you did so now I’m curious. If your playing just for yourself to have fun, what are a few of your go to fun planes?

It can out AOA. But loses energy very fast. The a4n is also the chunkyest A4. I don't exactly think it is too unrealistic for gigan standards.

You seem to forget compressor stalls and shit aren't a part of this game, if they were, all the 21's would be dogshit and so would the 14A and Viggen. Take away complications like that, and its actually closer than you might think to how they'd fly without them, DCS level? absolutely not, but it's not exactly random either. This was also with keyboard controls. in sim with a HOTAS, things would turn out differently, as this is also in RB where even the biplanes basically have a flight control computer in the form of the instructor that intervenes. Essentially my point is the FM's aren't accurate but aren't inaccurate either, besides some very obvious ones like the Javelin. You think wanna think about things a little more intently.

If you guys want to grind the israel tech tree, this is my advice: go grind the spitfire, after that research the vatour and bomb the red circle until you get the a4n. A4n get 4 sharfir missle with 18g maneuver at 9.3 will help you get a lot of kill( dont try the aim 9d, off course it have better track and range but it still a 18g missle and now it a case seeker so you can't lead the missle anymore). Don't wastes you money to the a4 pre, it's a nightmare. A4 pre just love to rip his wing, you got 90% time uptier and you will face alot of av8a and all the aircraft just better than you. If you try to bomb the base, su-7 and vautour will beat you at that

It can pull pretty well. Not like a fighter, but the only way you're breaking your wings is if you're constantly pulling 10+ g sustained turns. Needless to say there's no reason to pull that hard anyways.

Weirdly enough i actually had someone fairly salty at me and tried to gun me down after getting 4 kills in the f5c, most war thunder players are something else…

Yes. The N is a sub variant of the M model, which is a major upgrade over the A-4F. Other sub-variants of the M include: A-4KU, AF-1 (just an A-4KU used by Brazil), and the A-4AR Fightinghawk
