❤thank you so much for your teachings
Trying my best to not say anything inappropriate with my question, and I’m really not trying to be funny, but do you think they took one’s word for it that they were circumcised? Or did they appoint someone to verify? I’ve often wondered that.

Paul was so serious about following Jesus and advancing the church that he wouldn't have taken the chance to lie like that. It would make Christ look bad and it would diminish Paul's character as a leader. The people back then weren't as weak as we are. They would die for the sake of the Gospel so circumcision was worth it to gain believers who were concerned with keeping the ceremonial law under Moses. It wasn't anything that would cause them to lose their soul so they didn't mind going the extra mile to gain more souls for Christ.
Apostle paul was a jew, but a Roman citizen.
