He seems like an extremely grounded, likeable, no--nonsense individual - rare in the world of show business. His openess about his father is admirable and never sensational.

He'll always be gorgeous imo.

He was the voice of Superman for the 1996 animated series, which was for many of us, the definitive version of the character onscreen. For me at least, it's iconic as Conroy's batman.

I wouldn’t say he’s as iconic as Kevin Conroy, but he’s close. Conroy played Batman for 30 years across TV shows, movies and games. I started watching Madam Secretary, and it took me a while to realize Henry McCord was Tim Daly who I knew was Superman. I don’t know him for his live-action work. I think I would have recognized Kevin Conroy pretty quickly.

I like him. He is a good man and a good actor and yes gorgeous. Lots of integrity too.

I've always liked Tim Daley. He's so grounded and appears to be a nice guy. I'm glad I came across this video. I never knew about his personal life. Sad about his relationship with his father. I can most certainly relate to that.

What a kind and good person. Thats an achievement. Bigger than any career or money or fame. And being a good parent. What a great guy!

Tim Daly truly earns the title of Superdad.

I am a BIG WINNGS & TIM DALY fan! The Daly Show cracks me up, especially the two-part with Steven Weber! Thx Mr Daly!

I always had a crush on him growing up as a teen in the 90’’s watching him.....he was so gorgeous

Wings was great...the characters were hysterically funny, clever. I stay up to midnight to catch them on Antenna TV. I get bored with reruns of 'others' but never with Wings... it still plays fresh while others feel dated and stale. Off entertainment... I am sorry he loss the years with his dear father... life remains both precious and precarious to all of us. My heart weeps for his sudden loss. His pain is clear...he has my empathy.

Not mention of him being Superman? He's crying inside because of this!

I was on the crew of a show he was in many years ago. He was friendly, but not overly so - now that makes sense. The story about his father is so very painful. On the upside - he looks the same age as his children!

Heartbreaking about his father

My heart was breaking as he talked about his father. What a sad story. The Daly Show is hilarious.

Wow! That's really awesome, and I can understand what he means about being incredibly shy. Believe it or not, Chris Rock is unbelievably shy, despite the many brilliant comedic routines that he performs. Acting and performing allows you to let go of any inhibitions that you may have, and it also takes you to so many levels that you can never get away with in an everyday lifestyle.

Props to him from being so open about his relationship with his father. I really feel for his Dad. I can't imagine what it must be like to be closeted and to have to be estranged with your family because they're fearful that they'll "catch" homosexuality.

My mother grew up with James Daly and his siblings in Wisconsin. There were rumors that other members of his family were gay as well including Tim's grandfather and uncle. In the early part of the 20th century especially when you were Catholic like Tim's family that was a really tough thing. Tim's grandparents were divorced too and I can imagine that his mother played a role in James feeling the way that he did.

That was great! I loved Tim Daly as 'The Fugitive', and, of course, 'Madame Secretary'.

Great interview. I loved Madam Secretary, & Tim & Tea; it's 1 of my Go-To shows after watching West Wing. All the M. S. characters are great actors & so believable in their roles. Sorry it's gone from Sunday nites. BTW had no idea Tim & Tyne were related. Just didn't put the names together. Maybe we'll get to see him again in another role as superb as his 1 on M. S.

No matter, the roles he plays he will always be Superman.

I grew up with Wings. Tim seems like a truly sweet person.

I was in high school when Wings was on the air. I became obsessed with Tim Daly. I just thought he was the hottest man I had ever seen. He is even hotter NOW in his 60s. He made me realize my affinity for HOT older men. He has aged so beautifully.

I want this show to come back!!

The one thing that Tim Daly never mention it is that he is actually the voice of Superman from the Animated Series

I really enjoy Tim Daly in "THE FUGITIVE" back in 2000, he's awesome as Dr. Richard Kimble. Huge fan of the Movie version, and the old TV show.

What happened with his dad is heartbreaking, so sad. I just recently watched all 6 seasons of Madam Secretary, and so I started watching interviews of Tea and the rest of the cast too, and have found a lot of him and though I knew him from Wings, I never really paid attention him really, and my main reason for watching Madam Secretary was because of being a fan of Tea Leoni from The Naked Truth and the movies of course she did afterwards. But now I would have to say I have become a fan of Tim's, based on not just this show, but these interviews, because he seems like a really down to earth and really a nice guy, none of that phoniness of most in Hollywood, which is what I like. I tend to be more drawn to celebs, actors/actresses that are more down to earth, and you don't see at every Hollywood party or award shows, even when they aren't presenting or getting an award, like many do. Ones that see acting as a job, and an art form, not just a way to get rich and famous, again like most! It's obvious that Tim and Tea are both those types of actors, and I can see why he and Tea got together too. And being someone who is a Lesbian, it am even more sad for him and his father, and what they both went through because of peoples bigotry and misinformation back in the 1960s and some even now! Also it's cool that both his son and daughter were in Madam Secretary, his son played Daisy's boyfriend for the first season and popped up off and on throughout the shows run, and his daughter played his niece, who also popped up a few times.

Also, The side of Daly's father that was homosexual was his true self and it was the side that he chose to hide from the world.

I think he might be "tinting" his hair. But he looks good regardless. I actually like the goatee. I just saw a video of him shaving and I wouldn't have guessed it was him in a million years!!! Though here he looks like the big brother to his two kids. You can tell the loss of his dad still really hurts him.
