I wish active track worked with an external monitor like the Atomos Ninja 5+.. They refuse to add that touch feature.

@@FollowTheJohn I've heard plenty of people complaining about updates and their products in general. I like the idea of external RAW, but with their prices, it's just ridiculous. If RED never patented RAW, Atomos probably wouldn't exist the way they do now.

I have the Lidar. Is it possible to use both the Lidar and Raven Eye at the same time? They use the same port on the RS 3 Pro. How can you use both at the same time? Please explain. Thanks!

The one that is closest to the arm, if you are looking at the front of the gimbal that will be the left side. The USB-C Port on the other side is positioned to be easily accessed by the camera.

On my RS3Pro with Lidar on my B6Kpro I haven't this active track settings... I just have "speed" and Tilt Follow. nothing more, and I can't activate the Actrive Track, the zone stays white. Any idea why ?

Could you help me? Notice that I connect my cell phone to the reveneye but I take videos vertically with the vertical camera but when I use the reveneye it only appears in landscape mode on the cell phone and I don't know how to configure to rotate the screen on the cell phone

@@jaybillups2063 it's not really a vertical slider but the Slypod Pro goes on sale for $250 sometimes, i got one about a month ago and for the price it's very cool. i'm new and just ordered the RS3 Pro so I haven't tried to use it w a gimbal, but i think for that price it's super cool... 54cm of movement, can do some things a slider can't... it's just got it's caveats... but i'd try one out the next time they go on sale if you're looking for a vertical slider, can always return it. i thought i'd return mine but it's super fun

Does anyone know what is the USB-C port next to HDMI used for? I can connect my D5300 with RavenEye and I have image transmission and most functions, but I don't have ActiveTrack, Panorama and things like that. However those two green lines appear when I tap on the screen and it moves the gimbal in that direction. I don't want to use my D850 with it as it's my main camera. I was thinking about buying Olympus E M1 II, but it states that RavenEye isn't compatible with it. So my question is, would ActiveTrack Pro still work on that Olympus? Anyone tried?

Has anyone discovered an issue with the eye piece of the R5 C getting in the way of camera's ability to tilt up and down cleanly with this gimbal? If so, anyone have a solution?

Why it works just when i record in FHD and not in 4K?

I'm super new. Just got my RS3. I cannot get it to quit wobbling when I am filming a subject. Also when I spin it around with the joystick it always wants to gradually turn toward the ground. If I lock the axis the gimbal says it's not balanced and goes into sleep mode. Any help would be appreciated. It's like all the videos I've watched assume people already know all this.

I feel your pain, had the same problems (I've had my RSC for a whole week :-) Very basic gimbal knowledge, I know, but you need to _carefully_ balance your gimbal to solve this issue (lots of vids out there). You'll know its balanced when you can have the gimbal powered off, unlock all the axes, and manually turn your camera any direction and it should stay there (no drifting back to another position).

Have you tried making sure the camera is balanced? Have you calibrated the gimbal?

I have the raveneye on the RS3 with the Sony FX30. When I swipe (using raven eye) right on the gimbal screen nothing happens. Is this because I have the RS3 and not the pro or due to camera I am using? Also, when using Raven Eye, my camera display is off. Is this normal? Please help, Thanks.

Believe it’s only with the pro.. also, on our fx30, set your HDMI output to auto or 1080p… default is 2160 which won’t transmit

Active Track will not display on the RS3 screen, it only works with the RS3 Pro. You have to use it with the iPhone only

Hi, thank you for the lesson. I purchased the RavenEye for my DJI RS3 (not pro version) All is working, however two things, on my CanonR6 the LCD screen goes blank when connecting the RavenEye. I went through all camera settings and cannot find any setting to enable the screen. Has anybody found a solution. Secondly I see with RavenEye you can have your video feed display on the back of your gimbal screen instead of using your mobile. You can also draw a box around your subject on the gimbal screen for active track. I can’t seem to enable the Screen on the back of the gimbal, again is this a setting or only available for the RS3 Pro Version?

Yes, as long as you set it up with the RavenEye it work really well with the Sony A7S3

I have the rs3 non pro version. I can’t seem to activate the active track on the gimbal itself. Shows a black screen when I swipe left. Is this normal for the rs3? Active track works on the handphone.

They clame on the page that "ActiveTrack Pro: Tracking on the Ronin series has never been more accurate or responsive. The next-generation ActiveTrack Pro can directly read images from the camera built into the LiDAR Range Finder", if ActiveTrack works with Lidar, why would you need Raveneye at the same time? I am not sure if to have active track only Lidar would be enough? I hope Channel Owner would confirm :) Potential buyer here

Raven eye is mostly used if you want the feed on your mobil device , the lidar footage won't show up on the phone app

I have a whole section at 1:57 on hooking up the cables. and I show the cables hooked up. There is only one HDMI input on the RavenEye, so it should be fairly straightforward. Just hook up the cable to your respective camera and you are good to go. Have a great day!

Whole thing is for manual lenses and all the youtube reviewers are now like snake oil sellers.They do not say raveneye or active track does not work with anamorphic lens 😡

@@DeafDirector, In the RONIN app for Android DJI should have implemented UVC USB driver for active track with anamorphic desqueez option.Then we could use generic usb capture cards with our android phones which would have enable us to use our android phones/tablets as monitor too. Instead they marketed half baked raveneye. There are already android apps supporting UVC usb capture feature. If RS3 is pro level peoduct anamorphic lenses are manual and pro level things. There are zero critical review by all youtubers on DJI products for their stupid or zero implementation of pro level features. That gives free pass to DJI to sell crappy products.

Be verry careful of DJI , they advertise the capabilities of the RS3 , specifically Active Track , then take the RavenEye off the market , which essentially renders the active track capability useless.

Can I use raven eye with rs3 mini ?

On my RS3 this active track on gimbal screen itself doesn't work sadly. But it should, right?

Spoke to DJI tech support today and Active Track will not display on the RS3 screen, it only works with the RS3 Pro. You have to use it with the iPhone only.
