All the people ranting about how this product ruins creativity are completely missing the point. You can't put that blame on the product, only on the people who use it. When put into the hands of someone who actually understands musical composition and is already capable of creating these notations it's nothing but a time saver, that's what it's designed for. If a track requires the notation and sound this produces there's no point wasting time piecing together the same results manually. When someone uses prepacked loops as an excuse to call themselves a musician that's not Native Instrument's fault.

Casual, professional, whatever. All I know is that I cannot afford to have an orchestra a my beck and call. All of NI products allow you to be creative & sound unique. This not simply a product that allows you to play sample phrases. The video shows you how to take the phrases from out if the box to making them your own. There will always be "haters" of new ways of doing things. I've always decided to work smarter not harder. Thank u NI!!!!

The sound is really impressive. This is a really great tool.A lot of musicians use the same phrases, so sometimes I get the impression when I hear a few songs, they really sound like only one man was doing them.In any case, it's a wonderful thing to practice and acquire new knowledge.Do not be a machine, be creative. Thanks for video...cheers!!

I'm amazed at how some people feel obligated to complain about the price of such high grade software...do you guys even comprehend the possibilities of creativity you are getting at such a price??? Anyways, I picked up Komplete 9 Ultimate for 999.00 at guitar center, used a 10% off coupon and essentially got this software and 65 of NI products for 899.00. That's around 10K worth of their software. Absolutely worth 899.00. Basically, what I'm saying

I agree they are such great tools to have. There is so many sound scapes to be realized with this stuff. There is pretty much nothing that you cant make if you take the time to bring it to realization. Thats what I love about their stuff. I own East West stuff as well but NI's stuff is very inspiring.

I think it depends on how you use it. If you start of with the instrument and just go through the preset rhythms to build your music, I can totally agree with you. But if you have composed a track with a difficult rhytmic pattern for strings and want to make a midi mockup for a client, this instrument might help you alot! Cheers!

That's what most of music making is anyway. Notes and rhythms are just puzzle pieces, this software just contains slightly larger puzzle pieces. This fits the genre perfectly and helps a serious composer working in this style to get results quickly. Once these were layered with woodwinds, brass, synth and percussion, you could have a very complete and unique sounding song.

You can't record with the Kontakt player, you will need a DAW like Cubase, Sonar or Fruityloops (or something else entirely). The kontakt player is just the interface between you and the library, the daw is where you actually record the midi data, key velocity, mod expression etc...

In all fairness though he is right in saying that making a program like tis would cost a lot of money. I do agree with you, these libraries are expensive, especially some of the big guns like VSL and ProjectSam, but I guess its hard to argue about the price, you want the best, you have to pay for it unfortunately! But hey, thats what student loan is for lol, the Komplete 9 Ultimate package is a bargain when you look at everything thats in it, but yeah, shame it still costs a lot of money!
