Another carrying case big in the late 70’s, and early 80’s was the car cases for matchbox and hot wheels. Those could be their own video, but I remember having a couple for all my cars.

I cut the tokens, or stars,or proof of purchase things from my card backs and mailed away for the bandolier. Figured out fairly quickly 1) they would probably fall out going to my friends house 2) i would get beat up and have the figures stolen if anyone saw me. Still have it though. Oh and if i had to run, there would be a trail of action figures behind me. The weapons boxes were a nice touch though

Love the ending “who am I kidding I would have bought this if I knew about it as a kid!” I never thought of the Joes’ APC as a carrying case, though it was as well, but i used it as a toy. And I loved that plain old Star Wars case from the beginning, although the tickets for the figures seemed to fall off pretty easy, I could have possibly not applied them properly. Who knows, I was only four at the time

Wow, great video. My older cousin had the ultimate action figure case. It was called "Space Case", and it held 48 figures!! That's right. It contained four trays of 12. It was massive. He had his Star Wars, Micronauts, Lone Ranger, Clash of the Titans, and Star Trek figures all in one place. It was magical. When he got too old, I inherited it. It was like I had won the lottery.

Great video junkman. I had a case that I suppose was to be used for gi Joe's. It was made of card board wrapped in camouflage vinyl. It had yellow vinyl on the inside for whatever reason. I'd fill it with my Joe's and their guns and backpacks and I used it till it fell apart! This was back in the 80s, I used it with my 3.75 figures. Not sure where my mom got it at but I've never seen another

Jm, Mego DID have a Hall of Justice playset. Mego is the other vintage line I narrowed my collection down to. You should definitely do a video on the mego playsets. I wouldnt call them carrying cases either, because I learned the hard way they are not. I kept my Trek megos in the Enterprise playset and the bottom gave out after a week or so. But aside from the Wizard of Oz, there were quite a few fold up sets like that. Check out Megomuseum.com. also. The Gi Joe mini cases that looked like ammo pouches were better than the bandoleir.

I had that Chewbacca bandolier as a kid. Neither myself or any of my siblings ever wore it, or stored figures in it, but I did use it as a stand in for a weird snake-like robot creature for my figures to fight. And the little cases were great to use as contraband containers for Han to smuggle stuff in. Or it'd be like those boxes of reward money he got from the rebels at the end of Ep4.

Also, you forgot the great Star Wars ones - the Darth Vader carry case, the C-3PO one, the Rebel Trooper Rifle one from ROTJ (I own it and it's awesome! - you could play with it as a gun, even had a scope with a sight in it) or the Millennium Falcon ones that came out with POTF2. Transformers had two types of carrying cases. Due to the irregular size and shape of the multiple types of "figures", neither case was very suitable for many of the "figures". The smaller case was similar to the Star Wars case that you have. The tray inside had compartments of different sizes. The smaller compartments were perfect for (most of) the minicars. The larger compartments were OK for the larger G1 cars, or the jetplanes -- if you dissembled and "folded" them in half. Soundwave would also fit perfectly in the bigger compartment. Megatron and Prime were a big fat NO on that carrying case. www.ebay.com/itm/TransFormers-Hasbro-1984-collectors-case-Tara-Toy-Corp-vinyl-robot-/231339143141 Later on, many of the Transformers became much bigger and more "irregular". The second carrying case was introduced. It was basically the same as the He-Man carrying case that you mentioned. It had four compartments as well. You would store as much as you could, and the pieces and "figure" would "slide" all around. www.ebay.com/itm/Transformers-G1-Jumbo-Collectors-Carry-Case-Hasbro-LAAR09/273584487566?hash=item3fb2e7fc8e:g:BYgAAOSwxtVb~wqB Is it any wonder that most people would prefer to keep the boxes that the bigger "figures" would come in and transport them that way???

Never needed a carrying case for my original figures, because even at the age of 12 ... I knew that they were staying right in my room so none of my buddies were going to get their Grubby ass hands on my hard earned figures.....And that is why I still have my originals to this day in near mint condition...And I wouldn’t want to embarrass my originals by putting them in those stupid butt ugly cases anyway!...H@ ! Cheers JM

Junkman I'm asking for your help and others that follow you. Analog Toys just put up a video accusing anyone that's anti-repro that they are an Elitist. I commented directly after his video basically saying I have no issue with Repro's as long as they are marked as such. His comment was basically everyone has an opinion and repro's are great for the hobby. Analog toys, Toy Polloi and Retroblasting are missing the point, with the following they have they should promote all weapons and accessories to be marked as to not be passed off as an original!

I did my video on and my video with Retro. It seems just as elitist to keep acting like ones opinion is the right one. Also I don’t see why just having marks clearly hurts anyone’s collection. Never thought I see a day when collectors support it

It would have made a lot of sense, pretend to make a G.I. Joe caring case, that look like a camouflage ammo box. That would have ben cool.

Gallagher had nothing to do with inventing the Turtles. Why did you say that? the video you referenced doesn't even say this. It says Gallagher helped to get the first movie made. Everyone knows that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were created by Kevin Eastman.
