The story behind the title is... When I moved to NYC from Ventura, CA when I was 19 I was timid and introverted. I moved to the Bronx. People were utterly different than the beach town reality of my upbringing. I eventually got so mad at myself for not being able to sit in at jam sessions or to meet women, or do just about anything social. And I became very lonely and would just stay in and practice all day (after coming home from my day job as a receptionist). One day I picked up a pencil and wrote the word "Action" on the inside of my apt door. Just as you see it in the video and on the album cover. This was to remind me to do something when I left the apt. To make any effort to better my situation. Well, it worked! I did it. And that scribble was still on the door when I left that apt 32 years later.
