colorisism has such deep roots in south korea that they see them as having “dark” skin tones when in the scheme of things they’re both on the paler side of skin tones 😭

I'm Korean and actually tanned skin was a thing in 90s~early 00s here. Lots of celebs or rich popular girls used to go tanning shops back then. But it kinda became out of style and considered tacky by 2010s, and it is becoming bit hot again btw hipsters now(but lighter skin is still more popular). Actually here in Korea, as we are not much ethnically diverse at all, when we talk about skin color it is not directly about ethnicity but the style Tanned skin gives sexy/powerful/healthy image And lighter skin gives innocent/old-money/clean girl image Sexy image was a thing till 00s and then during 2010s innocent look was a thing, and now old-money rich girl kinda style is a thing I mean, yes I do agree there is racism based on skin color here in Korea, but skin color between "koreans" is kind of different. Cuz we just all 99% east asians n don't rly look that different like racially..so skin color is just about style between us Koreans. Most people just don't consider non-east asians at all when they talk about skin color. It is kinda like western people talking about wheather they prefer blonde or brunette, blue eyes or brown eyes I guess? Cuz when they talk about those things they never take east asians in consider idk

Jaejoong must've been nervous. He forgot to speak in banmal (basically the whole concept of the show). He didn't ask the girls if they can feature in his album. His ears were red the whole time. He asked very random questions about very old topics. Seems as if these are questions he wanted to ask 10 years ago. I hope they become friends. They made him laugh a lot and even made him cry. Sistar are super easy-going and are very loyal when they become close to someone. I really want Jaejoong and Hyolyn to collab. They both have husky singing voices and they would sound so good together.

It's taking me out that Bo Ra is literally translating and explaining Hyolyn thoughts, it's so funny. Hyolyn is so freaking cute and in her own little world. JaeJoong has me laughing so much when he admitted he couldn't follow her thoughts that well and Bo Ra had to explain what she meant. Bora seems so genuine and friendly! Hyoryn seems like she gets misunderstood a lot but is also a very kindhearted person on the inside. While I think they understand that it's normal that JJ might not know about their achievements (he's busy and kind of out of touch with normal-people life), but I hope they know that they have achieved so much and should be so proud of themselves! They seemed to feel a bit ashamed of their "lack" of fame, which they shouldnt have to feel at all! Being in this industry for 15+ years is insane and literally sooo difficult.
