Wow, I couldn't care at all about this play since I was randomly assigned to read the script in school, but after watching it, it's amazing. Plays are meant to be watched, not read. Why do you think people hate reading so much? It's schools forcing people to do things they don't care to do.

I sped forward to the ending, because I wanted to see the final confrontation with Biff and Willy. That's the scene that made me cry. Because Biff was my favorite character. He had more to him than the typical "dumb jock" stereotype. He had issues I could relate to despite the fact that I'm not a jock. This portrayal was PERFECTION. The kid was completely miserable. Straight up broken. And it broke me: like it was meant to. Fantastic job. As a side note, he's not bad looks-wise. (I'M SORRY. I had to say it.)

Little thirlwards I'll try my best. Willy Loman thinks he's a successful businessman, but his time's basically up. He can't sell anymore, but he's in denial and lives on loans from his friend to survive, pretending it's his pay. His mind is going, his son Biff doesn't know what to do with his life and has given up on making his dad proud. Happy, despite his name, is completely ignored and only wants to make him proud. They're a very dysfunctional family, the story delves into every thing that made their relationships go wrong, and let's just say it's not a feel-good play.

I had to read the play for my english class and the professor told me that it would be a good idea to watch the play while following along with the script because it helps alot with all that is going on in the play (willy has a lot of flashbacks that occur while he is talking to other people and they randomly occur so for me being a visual learner it was nice seeing how it worked out in the play instead of solely using the script to help me paint a picture in my mind. 12/10 would recommend this production because they were very good at their roles and their ability to memorize the exactly lines amazes me : D

The Bernard/Willy scene in Charlie's office seems to have too much body movement, moreso with Willy and it gets a bit distracting. Also there's no need to bark out the lines where Willy is asking himself why Biff for fifteen years he's been asking himself why Biff would flunk math and lay down and die like a hammer hit him. Not that they had to duplicate the original with Lee J. Cobb as Willy Loman and Gene Wilder as Bernard but at least when they were sitting you witnessed more of Willy's internal struggle and the mental angst that characterized it but in a CONTROLLED state, not so wildly dispersed around as in this case.

Is the guy who plays Willy the same guy who plays Sue's gay friend in The Middle? Hmmmm

I thank you for the play but you have to admit the acting is pretty bad. It's the effort though. B+

Okay
Jesus Christ this play is fuckin downer.
A great play poorly performed 😐😐😐. Specially the guy playing Willy , so superficial.
