Act Like A Success: Taking the lid off the jar

Ойын-сауық

Steve talks about "taking the lid off the jar," as a metaphor for understanding that we are all destined to be great and that our environment should never restrict us from dreaming big. Steve welcomed Colin Ashby, a young man who has found success by applying this principle to his life. Colin went to college while living out of his car for eight months. He earned a four year degree in just 2 ½ years, currently is interning at a PR firm and ready to enter the work force!

orijinale and put work towards it , stay on it. The key is dedication and progression an hard work along with having faith in your own abilities. You just telling your self that you can do this its all about putting in the work and staying on it and making sure this is some that you really want.

When I was in 6th grade, I had some free time in one of my classes so I was scribbling random things that didn't look good. My teacher saw it and commented "I hope you don't plan to be an artist" and scoffed at me. Little did she know I actually am very artistic. Im now 31 years old and sell my graphic art files every single day on etsy. People all over the country want my art for various projects they are doing... so, yeah. I wish I could find that teacher and tell her about it.

This really brought tears to my eyes.. Some people have a way of stomping on other people's dreams just because it doesn't seem possible or realistic to them and truth be told, I cannot stand these kinds of people.. Turtles trying to comment on giraffes, when the giraffes worldview is at the tree top, and the turtle can't see more than the ground.. Don't ever underestimate anyone's ability to do or be something great.. And if you do not agree with them, at the least keep your discouraging comments to yourself and simply wish them the best.. God has a way of using the ones that society has ruled out, and using them beyond anything your hater's would have ever imagined.. We live in a world of followers, everyone wanting to be like what they have already seen. What they think is possible based on what they have been exposed to. But God gives you those impossible dreams and desires for a reason. Don't let the haters or crab's in the bucket pull you down, or force you to forfeit your true potential. You too were created for greatness, don't be a follower. I once heard a saying that small minded people are the ones that tell you that you cannot do something, but the greats are the ones that encourage you and tell you that you can also be great.. Isn't that the truth.. (Glad you made it Mr. Harvey :)

Oh my god, teachers have so much power over their students, either you build them or tear them down. So sad I encountered lots of teachers who did the latter as Steve experienced. And the same as Steve's dad, my dad took me out of that kind of school right away. He told me on the way to new school that no school should tear his kid's potential down. On that day, walking after my dad's footstep to the principal's room of new school I knew this man just believed in me and he would protect my dream no matter what.

Thank you Steve for the words of encouragement. When you hit rock bottom that’s when you know who your family and friends are. Since 2016 is been a struggle until to today. Family has turned their back on me. I was homeless for a couple years. My Dad didn’t have much education but he was a humble man and very encouraging at all times. It was important for him to keep the family together and always put in our mind that we could be anything we want to be but my dad passed. My family has separated. The word family don’t exist. January 6, on our way to church we was rear ended by a truck and the other driver fled the scene but thank God there is still good people in this world there was people they had videotaped the accident got his tag number I guess because he rear ended us his car stop. He tried to jump in other peoples car to get away but somebody notice that and call the cops so he’s arrested as a matter fact he sitting in jail he had trial yesterday I didn’t go but they should be contacting me to let me know what did they charge him with. My daughter was the driver my son was sitting in the front seat and I was sitting in the backseat with my grandbaby my grandson. My grandson lost a tooth his face was pretty messed up and We was pinned in back seat of the car. I always think God for being alive after the accident and more grateful for life. I stay praying but I know God has to have a better plan for us. We used to live in Georgia but I move down here (Miami) after my husband passed away. It’s really hard to find a job I’ve been been to so many interviews no one he’s willing to hire me they state that I am or over qualify but for the position that I’m applying for. I’m going to continue filling application there is aJob out there for me. Thanks again Steve. God bless you and your family. Your good peoples.

Have you ever shared your dreams with others, and immediately felt you wish you hadn't? You shined your brightest light, and those haters turned on the dimmer switch. That is so not cool! I've learned to laugh it off now, and I know I don't need others backing to make it! Especially those who want to steal your thunder. Keep on doing you!!! Thank you Steve! I love ALL your wisdom! 1💜

The is the most powerful message a person whose able to understand it can learn. People with authority roles in a child's life, need to be responsible with their words. They need to know the power they have in a child's life. My dream was ripped to shreds when I was a teenager. Then I spent years wondering aimlessly. By Devine intervention I found my footing and embarked on a new path. Graduated in January. Starting a new career next week. And..... That's just the first step. I'm not done. I don't listen to people who don't help me be better. No matter who. My mother and a older brother ripped my dream to shreds. They have no idea what they did to this day. Brought it up to my mother the other day, she doesn't even remember. SMH

Steve i stumbled across one of your videos about why you dont use mind altering substances....man, it ignited my interest in all your videos. I was shocked at how bold you were to speak the truth about it. I know they definitely destroyed about a third of my life...anyways ive been spending the last few years really trying to get my life back on track (you made a video about that too)..basically what im trying to say is i am floored with your videos and straight talk. Most of all i admire that you sincerely credit your success to God, He is the only reason im here today and has already gave me so much more than i deserve. Maybe He showed me these videos to lead me to higher things. You already know how He shows His love. Your really the best out there Steve. Ill never meet you in person but thanks to youtube i can get tons of great advice. Take it easy.
