Very informative. I really like the review, very in depth,, similar to the ones from Matt/Goon. The J1A really has a lot of features and interesting details. Getting xour perspective on it is really interesting.

interops is nice mainly for the fact that you can take your jacket on/off without removing the bag

I usually carry my laptop with me though so...

The hole for the mezzanine pocket is for drainage since it isn’t water tight.

Hey, i'been looking for a concrete answer in this topic, and seeing how you have different sizes on these jackets, perhaps you can give me the answer: I recently bought an alpine on L, i usually wear M, so i have a insulated nikelab acg jacket in M, but i heard (Altough i don't remember where) that nikelab acg jackets have different aux zip sizes depending on the size of the garment, so could i use my M insulator on my L alpine?

Hey man, true I had 3 sizes of aux zips, S, M and L. M is the same size as either S or L, but I I'm afraid I can't remember which...I think I mentioned it in one of my ACG review videos, you have to check. I sold all those jackets, so I can't check, but I do believe you can still zip 2 aux zips that are not the same size, the zipper just doesn't go all the way to the end. Personally I would recoommend wearing different sizes. I sold all my S and L because, M is just my best size.

@@AggaCityGang yeah, I'm kind of not sure about using L on the alpine, but it was a steal at 225, so I mean, I can't complain. And thanks for your help, will definitely be looking for that video in your channel then, great content by the way

@@vincentlecrosnier6844 I find that a bit hard to say, it's very subjective. I like to wear my clothes a bit loose, but I also can fit in most Smalls, but then it's tight/fitted, so...you get my point? So that's why I told you my own measurements, so you can decide if you think it looks to be the right fit for me in your eyes.

Wait... the very first ACRNM jacket, by the guy credited with being a *functional* design genius, was Gore-Tex Paclite? In a non-packable jacket???

@@AggaCityGang Gore-Tex Paclite is developed so it can be compacted quite a bit and stuffed into a pocket in a pack or bag. But he made a full hardshell jacket out of it...

@@AggaCityGangDo you mean the package of how everything in the kit comes in that folder with the bungee straps holding everything in their place? Because in that case the Jacket is more just folded up, not packable. It looks about the same size as the bag. Did Errolson make a feature demonstration video back then like his current ones that maybe I didn't see? I made a quick video myself of what I mean by "packable", this is a Gore Wear brand Gore-Tex Shakedry Active R7 jacket with the same 28000/25000 waterproof/breathability as Gore-Tex Pro 3L, not even the Paclite variant, and I hope this explains a bit better: kzread.info/dash/bejne/f5-Ou7enc7ifpKw.htmlsi=LD-LW9_s3PZ4Pe8u

Well, get that jacket then, I don't really understand what your point is. The fact that is is made of paclite doesn't mean it should be able to fold up to the size of a wallet. @@AggaCityGang Already tried with a 2 in 1 liner but it doesn't work well since it's the longer version, which came with the ACG Coat from 2015, I believe
