Just having someone confess isn’t enough to ~prove~ another’s innocence (yes I know the burden is on the state, but just in general, the one confessing doesn’t mean the other person had zero involvement whatsoever). Sometimes multiple people could be the culprits but one or more of them try to take the brunt of responsibility (they all know that they’re facing life in prison without parole but they can try to spare a friend the same fate) Not saying that’s what happened here, but you watch enough cop shows (“COPS” for instance) and it happens, but usually with drug and/or firearm possession or who stole the car… one ~claims~ that *they* did all the crimes and then picked up others that somehow didn’t think anything odd of the situation, while video shows they all did the crime together… My question is this… What’s the point of going into hiding to avoid death threats, only to then have your *~CURRENT~* appearance and names shown on TV which is then available online for all to see… now everyone knows your name *AND* what you both look like

A defendant, however, can waive this right which almost certainly this guy did. It is common to delay when concern of a conviction is likely. Right. Because I bet the first thing he wants to do after 8 years is go back to court. 😁 But seriously I agree.

@@sarcasticnews1195 🙋🏿, HERE IN FLORIDA A FIRST TIME CAN FILE A LAWSUIT, IN IT'S SHOULD BE OVER A MILLION DOLLARS MAYBE THREE.
Please sue EVERYONE
8 years inside, only to get acquitted? That's absolutely outrageous...
Yeah right I can only imagine who sits on the jury😂😂😂😂😂
Hold on: You're telling me that he did eight years for a crime he didn't commit, Someone else confess they did the crime, and He and his family are still receiving death threat??? Threatening a man's life when he clearly didn't do the crime and he paid by serving eight years of his life. Some people are just straight up dumb.
8 years for a crime you didn’t commit. How do you recover from that?

he did it the accomplice is just taking the fall for all of it
He had to be cuffed to the real killer?!?!!?!?! Are you kidding me?
Extremely interesting and informative....If she can afford to Relocate Immediately! Get a fresh Start else where!!!
He needs to get back in school and get his life together!
8 years? That's a sentence in itself!!! 🧐🧐🤔🤔🧐🧐🧐🧐
Too many people are sitting in prison for crimes they didn’t commit. My son is one of them! Thank God for a jury!
8yrs till trial?? ...They definitely had no evidence
What he needs to do is find a lawyer who specializes in civil rights and who will be willing to work pro bono with him so that he can sue them. A multi million dollar lawsuit.
This is ridiculous 😡
The police knew better in the first place. Those were trumped-up charges from the get go! Finally justice ♎ for that young man.
I do hope this young man will be able to find the strength to rebuild his life.
Facing the death penalty on a quadruple murder with 30 counts and beating everything? That’s like coming back in the finals from being down 0-3 4 times.
The justice system is definitely broken
👨⚖️ ~ I don’t know if he’s really innocent, but this is why being released out of jail on bail is important. Of course the same people that are furious at the prosecutors in this case will be the same people who are furious when a judge releases someone accused of a crime on bail. So many people do not understand logic whatsoever. They look at the situation as if their gut feeling is almost always correct and has any value. Plus they look at everything with hindsight. There has to be a system that’s calibrated to work the best it can. But this is why people are often released. Though that said, nobody accused for murder is ever going to be released on bail.
Just look at the mental torment and anguish that the mother just imagine the mental anguish that the mother had to go through for all these years just her alone she should sue this s*** out of them
Nice looking young man im sorry that this Happened too Him smh may he Go on with his life and Be successful 💯 🙏🏿
Lawsuit it is!!!!Praying for him
Damn the family had to go in hiding and what are the Jake’s doing to help…. NOTHING! That’s why people never like coming forward when murders happen

god? lunatic, did you ever watch the freaking video?? it was beyond blatantly stated his "friend" ADMITTED what actually happened, one human finally stopped ruining another's life,LITERALLY NOTHING ELSE no wonder everyone hated me when i used to be religious...you're a perfectly horrid example. saying all sorts of completely illogical and unreasonable loads of nonsense.
Are you really guilty until proven innocent.
What a nightmare
8 years sue for defamation of rights, that definitely not a speedy trial
It's unbelievable how people are charged in cases like this just because they were around or friends with someone involved. After the one guy confessed, they should have released him. It seems like the prosecutor was just after multiple convictions, similar to what happened with Trump. Prosecutors and DAs need to be held accountable.
The jury didn’t deem him not guilty , the guy who confessed proved that the accused he was innocent, that reporter need to revise his analysis immediately.

lol the guy who confessed named him as an accomplice for years until he took the fall , he was found not guilty at trial
Wow, so much for the system, warped, tarnished and so unfair at times. Hope he stays on the rght track🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
8 years for someone who the one of the people who confessed and said was innocent, & years in a time of technology puts someone so far behind. 8 years of life lost for you to be innocent is crazy
Thank god you made it out alive from those demons in the court house f the justice system
