I used to play an electric violin for my church band, and would use my acoustic just for high school orchestra. Later on I would have to switch back to acoustic and honestly I could never go back to electric. One quick string change made me love playing the violin after such a long time; and now that I’m a violin teacher, it’s become essential for me to keep at it
I find the Electric version more beginner friendly due to its ergonomic construction.
Obrigada pelas informações. Muito bem explicado.
Much appreciated that you shared these details, just starting to learn how to play on an Eastar 3/4. Arthritis prevents me from loving the guitar like I once had, but I feel comfort that I can at least play the violin.

This is actually so helpful and so well detailed, I have been playing since almost one year and my goal is to earn enough experience to play electric violin after 1-2 years ! Thank you for the video and explanation. You gained a subscriber <3
Some Electric Violins have frets added to them to facilitate good technique for the left hand such as the Fretted Viper.
Super helpful, thank you!
Thank you.
