These guys record some music for real on iTunes or Spotify or something. This quick improvisation in outstanding, I can only imagine what they're possible of in a studio. Please, I'll buy it. Every time I watch one of these it makes me want to pick up my guitar and play. Excellent.

You are absolutly right. They are that inspiring. But i think they won´t do it. Recording songs take an awful lot of time and effort. It is a bad business model for grown up professional musicians who have bills to pay. ´Cause there is no money in iTunes or Spotify. For a 1.000.000 downloads you earn about $5.000, €4.500, ₤3.900! It was reported that there was more revenue with vinyls in Britain in 2016 than with music downloads. Doesn´t that speak for itself?

To say this is the equivalent to acoustic guitar porn, would be such an understatement. Thank you guys! You even make Hawaiian shirts look cool! 😎

I still come back to this video and get sentimental and wish some thing in life never change, Mick and Pete i love you
The best thing about these guys and their videos is that they actually appear to enjoy what they are doing and they sound great.
You guys are the bomb, I've been watching for years and have never once comment but the intro was so great I felt I had to. Mick and Pete are the best thing on KZread. Love every video they deliver. Satisfying. More acoustic videos please.

PhiI93 i liked that comment before i even reach the time marker, because i commend your use of the word majestic, and i just know thats exactly what ill hear :D
As usual a fantastic video - I just love listening to the guys play and talk. For me the conversations they have enriches the whole experience and in this case gives some fantastic advice - 'Before you part with your gard earned cash go and play several guitars and let one choose you!' I went out to buy a Martin and a Taylor choose me - 'Lorretta' and I now make music together! Keep playing guys and putting smiles on our faces. How's about entry level quality guitars at around £500? Martin 'X' range etc
The "philosophy/hippie/falling in love with an instrument" aspect is the BEST part of these videos! Anyone can do specs and tonal analysis. Music is every bit as much about feeling as notes (to me) and I'm glad such talented musicians as you two appreciate that. BTW, I'm a Gibson lover but the Martin sounded the most balanced to my ear.
After watching what must be getting close to 100 of Anderton's videos, this one particularly summered up what's great about this channel.
Thanks for taking your time. Simply the best! Thanks
The Gibson, for me. Great playing, and such a fun video! I always look forward to Pete and Mick on Acoustic Paradiso!
Love the over all tone of the Gibson Hummingbird!! Classic indeed.

I enjoy the banter and chatting about the stories and history and ramblings on about stuff
I really enjoy you guys! look forward to future videos 😃
Nice to see the shirts out again ;) great as usual !!
Gents, please keep up your stories and anecdotes when you "get off the track". It's fabulous to tap into the experience of people who have owned and played many guitars; especially those who have done it in front of other people! My guitar experience is very limited and only fairly recent so i find your stories are great.
I love how long these videos are getting. More=Better
Martin/Gibson/Taylor with the cake to Martin. Great review always from the dynamic duo!
I normally don't play much acoustic but these videos are making me pick it up way more, great playing. And for me it was the Martin
I love this work, Thanks so much. Kris
Dont know why(Although the others sound amazing too) but I just am in love with the gibson sound!!! Especially the traditional J45 and hummingbird sound.
I honestly think I like the Gibson sound the best.

I MISS WATCHING PETE AND MICK . HEHEH. DAMN. amd the way Pete looks at the other person he's jamming with, anticipating and figuring it all out on the fly.. inspiring. Good shit. I know this is an old vid but it popped up on autoplay and I ain't changing it 😊
Love ur show! Im too handicapped to play any more so this is the next best thing. Thanks guys u really make my day every time:) Plssss make more episodes asap!!! I highly recommend PRS Angelus especially private stock
I think your "straying" and "roundabouts" were perfectly fitting for this video. You got to the heart of comparing three great guitars. There is no "this is the best one". You demonstrated perfectly for a consumer, they all have particular characteristics, but it all comes down to which one feels great to you, and makes you never want to put it down. Additionally, this is the reason, even if you decide on a make and model, you should play as many as you can. Not every D-28 will feel the same.
gotta love a good sounding acoustic guitar played by some one who knows what they're doing. Loved that intro jam guys, it sounded fantastic...dunno which guitar I want more...the D-28 or the Humming bird
My conclusions: I'd use the Gibson for sitting around my house and jamming, Taylor for live plugged in, and Martin in the studio or mic'ed up.
Damn what can actually stop Mick playing the guitar! He plays THAT WELL blind!!!!! He is just awesome
Great video as always, gents - thank you. A brief discussion of the neck profiles/feel might have been quite interesting - we can hear the differences in sound but we can't get an idea of how the guitars feel. The Martin sounded very nice - sweet and refined.
Love the show. It would be great to see a comparison of similar guitars from different manufacturers, such as mahogany back and sides from Martin, Gibson, and Taylor, rosewood guitars, etc. Also would be good to see some smaller manufacturers like Guild, Breedlove, and others. Keep the great shows coming.
A revisit that hummingbird sounds like coffee and cream 😊 thanks guys they all sound great.
Love this channel
You two ought to convert your intro jams into a record. Absolutely fantastic tone and sound.

I agree been asking myself for a year
The single most important factor in the sound of an acoustic guitar is the bracing. That's why the Martin sounds like a Martin. There's a reason luthiers call it "voicing" a guitar when they shape the bracing.
This too has a perfect combination.
Intresting I liked the Hummingbird the most
A Mick and Pete video has the best guitar content of any youtube channel. I would like to see you guys demo some lesser known but quality brand stuff, there is a wealth of great guitar brands that do not get the exposure. cheers.

I just bought a Blueridge BR-40 for taking to classes and outdoor events. It's a poor man's Martin. It would be interesting to see your take on it, and its more expensive siblings. With the Martin strings {SP Lifespan 92/8 Phosphor Bronze Medium (MSP7200)} it sounds very similar to a Martin dreadnought. But I prefer the sound of the D'Addario phosphor bronze strings it ships with.
omg the moment he picked up the hummingbird, and it meshed with the D28. Beautiful combo of tonality
I was personally liking the Gibson most but all of them sounded great. With both electrics and acoustics, how fresh the strings are make a huge difference. However with acoustics there is the additional consideration of them aging and how they open up over time. I really want a solid top, back and sides guitar one day as all of my current guitars are either solid top, composite back and sides or composite only (one I know is solid top, the others I'm not sure about). An aged all solid wood guitar just sounds special.
Love love love andertons videos and all the cast :)
Please do a full Acoustic Pedalboard! What effects are good to use, how to layer the sounds, etc.
Love the stories and talking about the emotional connection you can get when picking a guitar, please more of that loved it. Get job guys
What an awesome video.
Oh yes, a D28! Would like to see a D45 at some point too.
Loved it! Odd but I preferred the Taylor when it was plugged into the amp rather than acoustic and the Gibson the other way round. But my favourite was the straight Martin through the Mic. Great stuff lads!!
I’m learning so much from all these videos... i am looking forward to buying a “high end” guitar... thought i was going to get a taylor ... hmmm maybe i should reconsider the martin.... i have to say-when a person has talent, any guitar sounds good -high end or economy level...mick and pete make them all sound good 💕

Buddy Martin I'm in the same boat, but work hard and save hard and who knows? One day maybe ☺️
That might be the most articulate Martin I've ever heard.
What a nice intro!
In the next Acoustic Paradiso please do the whole 15 series from Martin. It's a range of reasonably afforrdable and absolutely wonderful sounding guitars.
Thanks since I'm over here in the states and can't get to Anderton's in the foreseeable future, at least I know what to look at when I hit my local shop. Looking for an acoustic and this helped narrow the field of potential prospects.
So early. So good.
Sound-wise the Hummingbird has the midrangey Gibson thump, the Martin 'scooped' with a bit more bass and the Taylor pretty balanced. I'm fortunate enough to have a D-28 and I've always wanted a J-45 to complement. It's just like I have a Telecaster and want a Les Paul. Chocolate and vanilla. Both good. Thanks for the great videos.

...and I will add that I think these blindfold tests show that the differences are very subtle! If you don't need a super specific sound and just want quality, it's possible to get along just fine with any one of these (or less expensive quality guitars) as your only guitar.
Pete? Can you make your own album.
just wish you guys could play..... :/ HOLY SMOKES!!! that is some TASTY JAM!!
I'd love to see a video on the differences between mahogany, rosewood, maple and other woods and how the y affect tone. What do you think?
Listening to this video while working. Every time i go like "hey man, nice sound" and open the browser to see which guitar it is, it was the Martin.
to my ears ....The Martin
Aaa awesome episode guys, but could you make more videos maybe showing and comparing some more affordable stuff? Cause especially here in south america just a few lucky people can afford those guitars and gear, here in Argentina what we pay for a gibson is a teacher's pay for an year of work, and i'd just love to see some videos like that, though i really enjoy these, and i hope you never stop making them
Mick plays even better with his eyes closed!
That jam at 31:55 was so awesome! Don't know if that's an existing song? Anyway if I had to pick one, it would be the Martin for sure.. :) Personal preference!
I really like this KZread channel I'm a big fan !please say something to your fan's guys ,i am ricardo from Japan theses videos help a lot about choose my next acoustic guitar thank you very much!
Hi Pete any chance you can do a compilation video of all the opening jams you do on the andertons tv channel , guitar paradiso and Pete and rabea , and the ones you do with the captain , they are just awesome 👍👍👍
Martin all day every day for me
I'dd like to see more videos on hollowbody jazz guitars if possible. Not on the acoustic bit but maybe in the normal paradiso. Thanks!
I would love to see a comparison video between less expensive all solid guitars like Fenders, Epiphone Masterbilts, Cort Earth, Sigma, Eastman, and the expensive Martins, Gibsons, Taylors etc. Perhaps a blind where the listener tries to guess.
well done
About tone, I liked more Pete playing the Martin and Mick playing the Taylor or the Gibson. Just ear opinion about bond between tone and playing signature. But I almost forgot to say: Nice video!!!! (so I came back here to edit the post). (((( ) ) ) ) And yes, you can do more of those. One thing that I saw and thought... that's interesting... was a portable microphone that fits inside the acoustic guitar and points outside the guitar mouth. So, you have one more suggestion for another video: Portable microphones to place inside the acoustic guitar. That's one thing that I don't know how to choose and I don't know the available options in the market.
37 minutes? Im in heaven
Imo acoustic guitar is the most beautiful instrument in the world.
Hi guys! Any thoughts on Sigma 000M-15? I've been recently to our local store and was very pleasantly surprised (especially when looked at a price tag) how it felt and sounded even comparing to much more expensive guitars.
Just curious how do you get that sound from the intro guitar music? Do you need to use an amp? I love that crisp sound and I am fairly new to acoustic guitar. I’ve hear that type of sound before in live acoustic sets.
What scale does Mick use after the country strumming G chord?
You guys should do a video on different acoustic pickups, like LR Baggs Anthem vs Fishman Rare Earth Blend vs K&K Trinity
Guild, every time
Taylor and Gibson very similar in sound and Martin is definitely distinguishable from the two from my perspective, Was curious Mick what acoustic do you own? I know Pete has OM 28, I'm sure you guys have several lol
How was he playing those fast bluegrass style licks with no eyes, witchcraft
All three brands are great but it's Martin that can make my heart stop sometimes. For another video idea how about comparing guitars for a specific genre, say blues jazz, or folk?
no love for alvarez yairi? I know it's not the big 3 but a nice piece of kit.
PLEASE do a video on the new Fender Offset Mustangs!!!!
What about the American Guild acoustics. Fantastic guitars made in Westerly, RI and Hartford CT. Now back being made in CA. They go head to head with these and are absolute standard.
Well veered
martin for life
Hard to beat a classic D-28 BTW not sure about the UK but in the US the Taylor 514ce and the Martin D-28 are similar in price but the Gibson Hummingbird is about $720 more.
Gibson Dove?
The Taylor cedar top makes the notes top out and resolve were the Martin lets them continue to bloom the Gibson seemed to drive the notes. I' m not even sure this discription is close to adequate.
The martin sounded full and even through the whole range. The Gibson sounded full at the bottom and jangly but not harsh at the top. The taylor surprised me, the cedar really took away what I always hear as a tight trebly sound through the whole tonal range on Taylor's. I have an 814ce and it sounds very different. Also have a D42 and it has more bottom end than the D28 in the vid. But I really like the sound of that D28.
I think it would be cool to do a demo comparison of say a Martin 000-28EC to a Gibson L-00! More of a bluesy pedigree of acoustics!

000-15 and 324 for all mahogany comparison?
I think that the Spruce top Taylor is more what people have and think of. Is the cedar top warmer? idk, but I have a 414ce (Spruce top) and a 326 (Mahogany Top) which are just magical acoustically or electric.

Is that glorious E major a Mu chord? Eμ?
martin d 28 . Taylor. Gibson. I have 2 Martin's. I love them . but I have a Taylor too . and it's great . just different . the Gibson sounded good too . I just love guitars.
