Miss Berta makes it out of intensive care to find daddy was shot in Dakar and is now a millionairess. Mrs O fluffs her lines (surly not!). It all happens here folks!!!

Oh me too! Everytime I watch it, I see something else to make me laugh. Its just hilarious isn't it. I only wish there were many more episodes.
Victoria Woods get out of shot move at 2:57 is without doubt one of the most under appreciated moments in British Comedy History

R.I.P Victoria.... 2016 has been a terrible year for celebrity deaths :-(
Genius comedy 👌
Skewed, messy wig, unbuttoned jacket, rushed lines--great stuff. My favorite is the scene on the couch when Trixie comes in wearing 'jammy' wedding gown. Mrs Overall crashes into lamp, which is caught and held by Celia, as bulb flickers, and Victoria corpses. Camera angle is low on 'Miss Berta', the payoff--a shot up her skirt through her widely parted knees. Also love amnesiac Berta's lines of "I don't know a Trixie...I don't know anyone...I live in a world of strangers!" Hall of Fame segment, bar none.
The beauty of this is how they don't have to worry about things like sound booms creeping into the shot, camera shadows, etc. Because it's meant to be crap, none of that matters!
Acorn Antiques, still funny after all these years. RIP Victoria you are and will always be the Queen of Comedy.
Fiddling with the gilbert lol! Watched this years ago and named my shop Acorn Antiques! Long gone
Just when you think it can't be bettered there's Susie Blake: 'Bath, Edinburgh and somewhere bizarre...where was it? Oh yes: Doncaster.'
Neve4 get tired of this.❤
Never ever get tired of seeing Susie Blake, what a very beautiful woman.
I was there with my dad and his mates we all lost our voices lol. The real watford the underdogs xxxxxxxxx
I love it how the show is meant to look shabbily made, it makes it so funny, victoria wood is a genius, and I LOVE Julie Walters!
"As I said, it certainly SOUNDS like a genuine Picasso, Martin, but I would have to see it to be sure... Bye.."
@kieran196 This was not a 'sort of piss take of Crossroads' - Victoria Wood said that's ALL it was - a COMPLETE piss take of Crossroads.
Victoria Wood - Thank You. .xx.
R.I.P ,Victoria you are the High Queen of COMEDY.Love you forever!!😢😇
Pure genius!
I've been to Doncaster. Bizarre barely scratches the surface
Still as original today as was over 3 decades ago
silly and yet absolutely genius! RIP Victoria Wood...
RIP VICTORIA. BRILLIANT COMEDIAN.
"Sometimes I think being widowed is God's way of telling you to come off the pill."
Yeah. Sounds like that to me.
1:54 Julie corpsing is so funny. And then 'Oh no, and he'd just got over that chill on his kidneys '
@RelativeBadger Rubbish, she's said its based on Coronation Street, Waggoners Walk and Crossroads actually. The electrocution scene is a direct piss-take of Valerie Barlow's hair dryer death and FYI the 'behind the scenes spoof' was based on the one recently made at that time about EastEnders and Julia Smith.
Brilliant; my favourite episode.
i love the wobbly credits!
Love how miss Berta slowly moves out of shot❗👍✴😎
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant, a sort of piss take of Crossroads in a way!
Such a funny, talented and beautiful woman. Sadly missed.
Oh I 4got how side splittingly good Victoria Wood was, I'm absolutely rolling around my bed here howling. The bit where Vic lowers herself out of camera view is priceless. RIP Victoria Wood you comedy genius XxXxXx
Its even funnier if you are old enough to remember Crossroads...Amy Turttle and Shoiee McFee and the wobbling set were real
This coffee won't get made on its own
Farewell Miss Berta, we love you x
Now,now children, let's not argue over who knows more about VW's work & just enjoy the uploads, lol. But,did you know.......,hahahahaha! Sheer comic genius!
2:57 that camera angle, priceless!
Lol I live in Doncaster.
Compared to modern soap plots AA storylines seem quite plausible.
@allant74 you can get it on dvd i think....just go on amazon. i would definatly recommend it because i saw it on stage and it was amazing!
@RelativeBadger Well I was being polite...sort of!
Love the costumes.
In Julie Walters' autobiography she tells how Victoria Wood scratch wrote this as filling for 5 minutes of the show. The rest as they say "is history"
i gut myself all through this
RIP Victoria Wood. You will be missed
yes, you got it exactly right

On completely blank pieces of paper😅
Delighted they kept the corpsing in and not edit it out, Spike Milligan used to do the same and it was all the better for it. Classic stuff.
Isn't the announcer at the start played by the actress who was Bev Unwin in Corrie?
I think it was a genuine "blooper" but they left it in as part of Acorn Antiques to add to it's amateurish charm.
'sometimes I think being a widow is god's way of telling you to come off the pill' lol
