Aussie coaches Postecoglou and Muscat did greatly well previously with this amazing team and this definitely helps the work for Kewell. I know their work is not the same as the club manager is one, but I see this as a trilogy to the success: Postecoglou started this cycle shaping this team and taking it to overcome Kawasaki Frontale's hegemony in J League, Muscat consolidated the team's identity and showed it in Champions League group stages (twice) while Kewell now leads the team in its most crucial moment with the ins or outs to the top or Asia. I believe the Marinos veterans feel this as well since all this coaches let the team's game style be as it has to and we saw it well today/yesterday in the first 30 minutes of the match, the Brazilian trio moved the ball beautifully between the Ulsan lines, such a show of joga bonito…

And the Japanese defender's arm pointed in the direction of the ball. If this is interpreted intentionally, a red card is possible. Rooting for Yokohama to win their first ACL title. Its the best experience when you win your first.

If a hand in this match is a red card, then every hand in every penalty would be a red card. In this case, the issue is whether the hand was intentional or not, and I don't understand why VAR was not used to determine whether the hand was intentional or not. It seemed as if the referee had already decided to send off the Yokohama player from the beginning. If VAR is used in such a convenient way, it will be easier for the referee to manipulate the game intentionally than when VAR did not exist. It is great that Yokohama won the game despite such a handicap!

Do you remember Jordan defeating Iraq with the Iraqi player sent off for celebrating his goal in Asian Cup? Guess the referee… yep. I saw a great work from the referees in that tournament, I don't understand why AFC gave the direction of a semifinal to a referee who had such a controversial decision.

And if include youth/contract players, it becomes much more) But compare the population and the number of players in both countries. Japan has 2.5 times more population than Korea. Also, Korean players have to join the military for two years. (Like Lee Kang-in, less than 1% of cases are exempt from military service after winning a gold medal) And most of all, Japan has many sponsors in Europe to apply. so, Comparing the two countries by the number of European leaguers is too much difficult background in the first place.

Ulsan Hyundai was known in Japan as an East Asian final boss. This is because many J-League teams have had it tough with Ulsan Hyundai. This time around, Ulsan Hyundai was playing a level above the other K-League teams. It is very important to beat them.

Great game, Yokohama dominated for the first 30 minutes but after the red card, Ulsan dominated the whole game. Not sure how it was a red card though.

With an AFC Supercup between the winners? Better yes, since the AFC Cup champion is often disadvantaged in quality, a final for the top of Asia as a Cup itself is a good idea. Or not? Instead the knockout phase should be west and east mixed with the 3rd in every group stage qualified to the AFC Cup. Anyway, new format is coming next season so it is what it is…

They should straight out let East and West Asian teams face one another starting from the Round of 16 again like they did in past.

A big well done to the fans who, despite the rain, were there to support their city at the most important football match of the year. It's a shame for others who don't understand how lucky they are. Hopefully only football-mad cities qualify for next year's finals because this is disgraceful given the competition prestige.
