Seeing your videos gives me the motivation to work hard for it. Its about 10 days now i had acl surgery. I am happy my meniscus was fine. For the knee bending i am just at 30 degrees. I have to many moisture in the knee. The biggest problem is you see other people is doing better than you so you want progress quicker. But every body is different. The water bottle thing is genius. I was really worried about how I was going to manage that. I’ll be on my own, no help. I cant thank you enough for that idea. Huge weight off my mind. Surgery in 4 days. Thank you so much for sharing your journey(s). I’ve had a month to prepare (worry) 😂. I bought the wedge and the ice machine from your previous surgery video. I also bought a mattress for my spare room to avoid stairs as much as possible. Dogs are going to go out on a tie out in front since the access to the back yard is stairs only. @harrisonlucas2518

@@yasiralansari5777 I’m going well, currently just over 9 weeks post surgery. I was able to transition to only using 1 crutch after about 2 weeks and completely off crutches after about the 3-4 week mark. I probably could have gone off them sooner, but was more so using them for occasional support in crowds etc. Around the 10 day to 2 week mark the recovery definitely started getting a bit quicker. I still have to wear a brace for another 3 weeks though due to my MCL tear (can’t bend past 90 degrees for 3 months).
Just had my medial meniscus repair and acl reconstruction yesterday morning. Was worried how the pain would be once the nerve block wore off, but surprisingly has been bearable. Haven’t touched the prescription medications, only rotating ibuprofen and extra strength Tylenol every 3 hours. Have to follow up with the surgeon next week to have the stitches removed, then hopefully start pt from there. Right now I’m on a strict resting schedule lol which is kind of boring but also a nice break. I did pre-op physical therapy which I think helped tons building up the muscle around the knee. Right now I feel my quad strength is ahead of where it should be, so hoping for a smooth recovery once I get to start pt

The price is crazy. I don't have insurance, so I found an independent surgeon, and it cost me 13k cash.

No I think I paid around $1,500 out of pocket… the rest insurance negotiated and paid.
Man sleeping with that brace sucks! I’m 6 days in, swelling is definitely better. I’ve gone 2 nights without it, but I’m very conscious of the leg specially since I wake up multiple times because I don’t sleep well because of it.

@Famvestor well in UK your not allowed to drive after such surgery and if you have an accident because it can be claimed your nit in full control of the car then you could potentially face jail time so not worth the risk
