Prima puntata - Il mastro di Vara, Sig. Turi Leotta, ci accompagnerà alla scoperta dei retroscena della festa di San Sebastiano. Oggi conosciamo meglio il baiardo, carro in legno che porta in giro per le strade di Acireale il simulacro di San Sebastiano. Una storia vecchia di centinaia di anni, in parte avvolta dal mistero e da leggende. Abbiamo apprezzato la gentilezza e la disponibilità dello staff organizzativo dei devoti di San Sebastiano e per questo li ringraziamo; nella fattispecie, non possiamo che menzionare il Sig. Nando Patti (rappresentante dei devoti) e il Sig. Turi Leotta (Mastro di Vara), che nonostante l'incalzare della festa, ci hanno accompagnati in questa fantastica esperienza!!

The master of Vara, Mr Leotta Turi, takes us to the discovery of baiardo leading the streets of Acireale the statue of Saint Sebastian. An old story of hundreds of years, partly shrouded in mystery and legends. We appreciated the kindness and helpfulness of the organizational staff of the devotees of San Sebastian and for that we thank them; in this case, we can only mention Mr Nando Patti (representative of the devotees) and Mr Turi Leotta (Master of Vara), that despite the pressure of the party, drove us in this fantastic experience !!
